大多数形容词和副词都有三个级
1) 同级比较: 基本结构as ... as ... “和..….一样”
Zhang Hong is as tall as Tom.
张红和汤姆一样高。
2) 比较级 (用于两者之间的比较)，基本结构：比较级＋than ...
He is taller than I.
他比我高。
另: 在比较级前有时可加一些修饰语，如much, a lot, a little, even等以示强调或加强语气。
This box is a little heavier than yours.
这个箱子比你的要稍重一些。

3) 最高级(用于三者或三者以上的比较)，基本结构: the + 最高级 + of / in ...
1) He is the tallest of the three.
他是这三个人中最高的。
2) He is the funniest in his class.

在含有最高级的句子中，常有一个in/of短语来表示比较范围。

1. “比较级+than any other+名词+其他”
表示“比其他任何一个……都……”。该结构可与“the+最高级+其他”相互转换

2. “比较级 + and + 比较级”表示“越来越……”
The earth is getting warmer and warmer.
地球变得越来越暖和。

4. “the + 比较级 + of the two”表示“两者之中更……的那一个”

The elephant weighs ten times more than the panda.
