Yu Gong Removed the Mountains is one of my favorite stories.
Once upon a time, there was an old man called Yu Gong. He lived in a village. There were two big mountains in front of his house. The mountains were so big that it was inconvenient for Yu Gong and his family to go out. Yu Gong decided to move the mountains with his family. They put the earth and stone into Bohai Sea.




Zhi Sou, another old man, thought it was foolish to move the mountains. Yu Gong was too old to make it happen. However, Yu Gong disagreed with Zhi Sou. Because the mountains could not get bigger. So they kept on digging.
A god was so moved that he sent two gods to take the mountains away. From then on, there were no more mountains in front of Yu Gong’s house.




The story reminds us that if we keep on trying and never give up, we will make our dream come true.
