The year 2024 marks the 88th anniversary of the victory(胜利)of a world-famous march(行军)-the Red Army's Long March of 25,000 li(12,500 kilometers).
In October 1934, the Red Army was attacked and in danger. They decided to move to a safer place. There ,they could keep fighting against the enemy(敌军)。The march began with over 80,000 soldiers in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province.
Along the way, soldiers went through lots of difficulties. In Sichuan, they had to cross the Luding Bridge in the middle of gunfire. They also climbed over snow-covered Jiajin Mountain (more than 4,000 meters high). They didn't have enough food or clothes. Many soldiers died of cold and hunger. In October 1936,the Long March came to an end in Huining, Gansu Province.
