A篇
Everyone lives in social(社会的)groups. In a family, there are parents and relatives(亲戚). At school, there are teachers and classmates. Often, some small things may cause the relations between each other to become worse. However, if we can put ourselves in others’shoes, we may understand their feelings.
Several things may influence (影响)our understanding of others. These cover our feelings and moods(情绪).This means that if a person is happy, he will understand and help others. But if one feels angry, he probably doesn't want to understand other people.
So learning some skills can help us understand each other better. Listening is one of the best ways to understand others' feelings. When people are talking,we should listen to them carefully. This will make them feel good. They will also be happy to share problems with us.
Sometimes, we only believe our own ideas are right. No matter what others say, we just refuse to listen. As a result , both sides won't accept each other and misunderstandings may happen in this way.
No matter what roles we play when we have different ideas, we should think about the situation calmly. Every small action can build active relations and make us have a better understanding of each other.
How does the writer start the passage
By telling a story. B. By asking a question
C. By showing an idea. D. By giving an example,

Different kinds of stress
By Li Ming from Students’ News There are many kinds of stress. If we sort(分类) stress by time, there can be short-term stress and long-term stress. If we sort it by the causes of stress, there are three common kinds of stress.
Survival(生存的)stress. When you are in danger, your body becomes ready to deal with that danger by fighting or running away. When you face this kind of stress, your breathing and heartbeat(心跳)will speed up.
Environmental stress. It is from the unhappy things you face in everyday life. For example , loud noises, bad weather and too many people around you can cause this kind of stress. They are not dangerous, but they are stressful.
Internal(内部的) stress. This kind of stress is caused by thinking about stressful situations that happened in the past or will happen in the future. For example, if you think giving a talk in front of lots of people is stressful, just thinking about it can also make you feel stressed.
A certain degree(一定程度)of stress can be helpful. However, if you are under heavy pressure for a long time,it can cause serious health problems. So you should learn how to deal with stress in your life, such as taking a deep breath or asking others for help.

In recent years,China has made a new policy(政策) to ease the burden(减轻负担) of primary and middle school students.
According to the policy, in order to give students more free time, teachers should decrease the amount and difficulty of homework. For example, students in the second grade and below should not have homework, and homework for middle school students should take no longer than90 minutes to finish.
China made this policy because students in China are under great pressure today. To help kids get good grades and finally get into good universities, parents and teachers make children's lives full of homework and exams. As a result, more and more children are unable to live happily. Some of them even have health problems caused by pressure from schoolwork.
Some parents agree with this policy very much. Li Yu, the mother of a primary school student in Beijing, said doing less homework can help kids protect their eyesight(视力),and have more free time to do what they want. There are also some parents of middle school students who think the policy is good for their children's all-round development.
What is the proper amount of homework for middle school students according to the policy
A. Students can finish it in 1.5 hours.
Students can finish it in 1.5 to 2 hours.
Students can finish it in 2 to 2.5 hours.
D.Students can finish it in 2.5 to 3 hours.

A. It can make children do more exercise.
B. It can help keep the children's eyesight.
C.It's good for children's all-round development.
D. It can make children go to bed early and get enough sleep.

Today, in many countries, children face a lot of pressure from their parents because parents often have very high hopes for their children. But the hopes of parents in different countries are very different.
In some eastern countries influenced(影响)by traditional cultures, such as China, Singapore, and South Korea, parents usually expect their children to get high grades on school exams and get higher social status(社会地位)through good jobs, such as lawyers(律师),doctors or teachers. So they put too much pressure on their children. That's why children in those countries feel stressed.
In some western countries like the United States, many parents also pay much attention to their children's success. Dear Mr.Smith,
I'm unhappy these days because that I can't get on with my parents. We always argue with each other. Here are several reasons.
First, they always want me to get better grades, so they push me into all kinds of after-school classes , including language learning, math classes and so on. However, such a busy life places great pressure on me.What's more, they always refuse to let me watch my favorite TV show. Instead, they watch whatever they want until late at night. I have to stay up late to finish my homework and it makes me tired.
I think I'm too stressed out. I really don't know what to do. Can you give me some advice
Yours, Li Hua
