【课标研究】
新课程标准四级目标要求八年级学生能在所设日常交际情境中听懂对话和小故事,能用简单的语言描述自己或他人的经历。能表达简单的观点,能读懂常见文体的小文章,能起草简短的指令、规则等。能尝试使用不同的教育资源解决问题并描述结果。能合理计划和安排学习任务,积极探索适合自己的学习方法。能在学习和日常交流中注意到中外文化的差异。
【教材分析】
本课通过介绍张家界国家森林公园以及描述贝蒂的旅游经历,激发学生对大自然的热爱,同时唤起学生的环保意识。在众多对景致给予评价、提出活动建议、表达自己的观点时,自然而然地导入that引导的宾语从句的学习。
【结构梳理】

Structures: We thought somebody was moving about.

【学情分析】
学生在以往的英语学习过程中已经涉猎了“动词+从句”的用法,大多数学生只是在实践中用,并未上升到理论的高度。这次我们把that引导的宾语从句列出来专门学习,作为学习掌握宾语从句的切入点。因其在语序上和陈述句没什么变化,所以易于学生们理解接受。教师可由简到繁,集中展示对话和课文中出现的宾语从句,先让学生反复朗读,然后以小组为单位观察、讨论并总结这些宾语从句的特点,特别是主句和从句的事态规律,培养学生合作学习、自主学习和探讨学习的能力。
【目标设计】
知识目标:初步掌握本单元的新词汇及表达法,理解掌握that 引导的宾语从句。
能力目标:1.能听懂有关旅行或远足经历的对话,并能从中获取大意和细节信息。
能介绍风景名胜,并能就这个话题展开讨论。
3. 能根据所给提示介绍旅游胜地。
4. 能利用所学语言知识介绍家乡名胜。
情感目标:通过阅读外国人对我国旅游胜地的描述,激发学生对祖国大好河山的热爱,培养学生的跨文化交流意识。

教材分析 以电子邮件的形式,由贝蒂向读者介绍了她游览张家界国家森林公园的经历。文章用了比较典型的英文写作方式:开头直接切题,开门见山地介绍了张家界的地理位置、面积、景致和特征,然后按照时间顺序介绍了作者昨天、今天的旅行经历和明天的旅行计划,使读者感觉亲切、自然。
学情分析 电子邮件是中学生们喜闻乐见的信息交流方式,因此学生在学习其中用英语表达的旅游经历和观感时,会更有主动性和积极性。有了第一单元的铺垫,本单元对that引导的宾语从句的纵深学习会相对容易。
教学目标 1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组:square, kilometers, shape, human, wake, somebody, path, pull ,wake up, pull off 2、能够读懂有关旅行经历的文章并获取有关张家界的信息。 3、能根据所给提示介绍旅游胜地以及能用所学知识介绍家乡名胜。 4、掌握宾语从句。 5. 通过对自然风景的了解,增强学生的环保意识。

教学设计说明 课堂整体运用任务型教学模式以及阅读课“四个阶段”教学模式。本课指导学生通过阅读获取信息,培养学生阅读技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。

(Activity 1 ) Let the students work in pairs and say what do they know about Zhangjiajie Write the key sentences on the blackboard. Learn new words about the photo in Activity1. Read the new words together. Students have a free talk and give the answers. Ask the students to read the email in turns and the other students listen carefully to point out important points. Solve the difficulties. Ask the students to read the email carefully several times and try learn the information about Zhangjiajie(Activity7) by heart. Task4: Organize the whole class to read together. And ask some students to come to the blackboard and retell some paragraphs. The students read the email and check their answers to Activity 2. Let the students number the sentences in the correct order. The check the answers. The students read the passage with the video together. Read the passage in groups. (5)The students finish (Activity4),the check the answers in paris.. The students read and find out how Betty starts and finishes her email to her mum and dad. Students show out some language points. Solve the difficult points. with the teacher’s help. Students read the passage in turns and the other students listen carefully to point out important points. The students try to retell the passage according to Activity 7.
