动词的一般过去式
Point
1. We saw the plant make dirty water clean again.
(1)一般情况下,动词原形词尾加 -ed ,如:work—worked, play—played, want—wanted, act—acted
(2)以不发音的字母 e 结尾的动词,直接加 -d,如:live—lived, move—moved, taste—tasted, hope—hoped
(3)以“辅音字母 + y”结尾的动词,把y变为i 再加-ed,如:study—studied, copy—copied, cry—cried, carry—carried
(4)以重读闭音节结尾的动词,末尾只有一个辅音字母,双写词尾辅音字母,再加 -ed,如:stop—stopped, plan—planned
动词变过去式有规律,一般词尾加-ed。
如果结尾是哑e,只在后面加个-d。
结尾若是“辅+y”,把y变i加-ed。
若是重读闭音节,双写之后加-ed。

3. I used to think it was easy to get clean water.
used to do 表示过去经常的动作或状态,但现在已经不是了。如:
He used to smoke. 他过去经常吸烟。(现在不吸了)
She used to be so shy and quiet. 她过去害羞、安静。
1.否定形式:主语+didn’t+use to+动词原形.
You didn’t use to like pop songs. 你过去常常不喜欢流行歌曲。
2.一般疑问句形式:Did+主语+use to+动词原形+其他?
Did your sister use to be quiet 你的妹妹以前常常是很安静的吗?
