When Lily found the lost puppy, she hesitated to keep it, but eventually decided to take it home.”
题干问:“What made Lily change her mind ” → 需定位“hesitated”和“eventually”的转折逻辑。
He stared at the broken vase, his face pale. ‘I didn’t mean to…’ he whispered.”
The teenager insisted on volunteering alone, despite her parents’ concerns.”
按时间顺序标记事件(如 T1: Problem → T2: Action → T3: Result);
圈出题干疑问词(如 why, how, what)及核心名词(人物、物品、地点);
例:题干问:“Why did Tom refuse the job offer ” → 定位到对话中 “I value my free time more” 。
动作描写:如“clenched his fists” 暗示愤怒;
环境描写:如“dark clouds gathered” 暗示紧张氛围;
对话语气:如反问句“Is that really fair ” 暗示不满。
主旨需涵盖故事核心(人物成长/事件启示);
青少年成长:校园挑战(如演讲比赛)、家庭矛盾(如代沟沟通);
社会温情:陌生人互助(如雨天送伞)、社区活动(如垃圾分类志愿行动);
多视角叙事:同一事件通过不同人物视角叙述,需对比观点差异;
增加“隐性情感推断”:需通过间接描写(如环境、次要人物反应)判断情绪;
每日精读1篇中考真题记叙文,标注 时间线、情感词、主题句;
情感类:relieved, frustrated, determined;
动作类:hesitate, rush, whisper;
主题类:teamwork, perseverance, cultural heritage。

Her determination to overcome fear and pursue her dream.

One afternoon, something on the Internet caught my eye: a tiny hedgehog (刺猬) held by a big hand. The post (帖子) read: “HELP! My hedgehog gave up her two babies, and I cannot raise both of them. Good home with experience needed! “
I was an animal person and had raised cats, dogs, and birds. But this tiny animal was new to me completely, and it touched me that he was given up, and that maybe I could love him and be the best mom for him.
I wrote the most heartfelt email I could. That was how I found my Louie. True to my word, he was my baby. I paid a lot of effort (努力) and motherly love to him. And he lived an easy life. Louie didn’t know he was a hedgehog. He never curled (蜷缩) into a ball, and he liked my two cats, no fear. The cats, however, were afraid of him, as he often moved into the room and ran after the cats.
By the time he reached old age, Louie had only three feet. However, he still tried to visit other animals.
Life has its meaning! Louie needed a good home, and in return, he helped me realize my dream of taking photos of the hedgehog and made it possible for me to show off photos of him and be a good mom. Hedgehogs require lots of patience, trust, and knowledge— but the pay-off is pretty great.

Every winter many people in Northeast China travel to Sanya to get away from the cold weather. However, Li Yanhua is different from them. She travels over 4,000 kilometers to cultivate new soybean varieties (培育新的大豆品种) with her team.
She’s a soybean expert. Over the past 32 years, Li has cultivated 17 soybean varieties. Li said, “It usually takes 10 to 12 years to cultivate new soybean varieties.” To make the period shorter, almost every year after the autumn harvest, she takes seeds (种子) to Hainan for planting. In the next spring, she gets the new seeds and returns to Heilongjiang for further study. “This can help add one or two growing seasons,” said Li.
In China, soybean planting has a history of around 5,000 years. And Heilongjiang is the largest soybean planting province. In 2022, Heilongjiang used more than 4.9 million hectares (公顷) of land to plant soybeans.
“My family have grown soybeans for many years, but I never thought I would spend most of my life studying it,” Li smiled. From the balcony of our tenth-floor flat, I searched the sky hoping to see a shooting star (流星).
“Stars are afraid of city lights, but a little song is always good for something,” Grandma put her arms around me and sang softly. The common stars are for little wishes—everyday wishes—like getting more cream on your cupcake. But the shooting star is different.
“Shooting stars are lucky,” Grandma said. So I kept a special wish ready—ready for a shooting star to catch my wish in its tail and dance across the sky.
I rested deeper in her arms hoping for a few more minutes of her warmth as much as I hoped to see a shooting star.
“Tomorrow can’t come if you don’t dream tonight.” She kissed my hair. I didn’t remember my dreams when I woke up, but sure enough it was a new day. Grandma was singing softly in the kitchen. A little song was always good for something. I smelt buttermilk biscuits! Buttermilk biscuits were Saturday biscuits, but today was Wednesday. She gave me two. Then it was time for school.
On the third floor, the lift (电梯) suddenly stopped and went dark. My heart beat so hard that I felt the beating in my ears. Grandma rang the bell.
“Power is down,” called Mr. Simon from above us.
Grandma took my hands, and we sang together in the dark lift.
Before long, Mr. Simon helped us out. Grandma took my hand, and we walked down the stairs to the street as if nothing happened.
The power was still off when I came home. After dinner and homework, we took biscuits and went to the balcony and watched day turn to evening. Lights came from far away, but it was dark here.
Flash! A light shot across the sky—too sudden to seem real. Like magic, I felt my wish holding tight to the tail of that shooting star, dancing across the sky to our songs.

When I was growing up, I had an old neighbour named Doctor Gibbs. He didn’t look like any other doctor I’d ever known. He never shouted to us for playing in his yard, and was always very kind.
When Doctor Gibbs wasn’t saving lives, he was planting trees. He had interesting opinions about planting trees. He hardly watered his new trees, which was quite different from others. Once I asked why and he told me that watering plants overprotected them because it made them grow weaker. He said, “Without enough water, they will have to grow deeper roots in order to search for water themselves. Having deeper roots helps them be stronger and live longer.” Doctor Gibbs died a couple of years after I left home. Every now and then, I walked by his house and looked at the trees that I’d watched him plant about 25 years ago. They were all tall and strong.
I planted a couple of trees myself a few years ago. Two years of caring for these trees meant they grew up weak. Hard environment seemed to benefit Doctor Gibbs’ trees in ways comfort never could.
When my son was a little baby, my wife and I often wished that his life would be easy. But now I’ve been thinking that it’s time to change our thought. I know he is going to meet with difficulties. There’s always a cold wind blowing somewhere. What we need to do is expecting him to have deep roots, so when the rains fall and the winds blow, he won’t be beaten.
1.Why did Doctor Gibbs hardly water his new trees
A.He was careless and didn’t like taking care of trees.
B.He was too busy in saving lives to water them often.
C.He believed overprotecting them made them weaker.
D.He thought it was enough to give the best wishes to trees.
2.What were the trees planted by Dr Gibbs like after 25 years
A.Tall and strong. B.Short and weak.
C.Short but strong. D.Tall but weak.
3.Which is probably the author’s wish for his son now
A.Meet people like Dr Gibbs in the future.
B.Be lucky and experience less difficulties.
C.Stay away from dangerous things in his life.
D.Be able to stand the rains and winds in his life.
C
Peter was a sensitive (敏感的) boy. He was so sensitive that even his hair was ticklish (怕痒的). You only had to touch his hair a little bit and he would start laughing. When he started laughing, no one could make him stop.
Peter tried everything to control his ticklishness, but nothing worked. So he began to feel sad for being different. One day in the street, he met a special clown (小丑). The clown was very old and could hardly walk, but when he saw Peter was sad, he went to cheer him up. It didn’t take long to make Peter laugh. Later Peter told him about his problem, and he asked the clown why such an old man could keep on being a clown.
“No one will take my place,” said the clown. “ but I have a very serious job to do.” Peter looked at him, surprised. “Come, I’ll show you,” said the clown. So the clown took Peter to many hospitals full of children who were sick. As soon as they saw the clown, their faces changed completely and lit up with a smile. The short time spent with the clown changed everything for them. That day was even more special, because in every show Peter’s laughter made the children even happier.
When the visit came to an end, the old clown said to Peter, “Now do you see why I can’t retire (退休), even at my age ”
That was how Pete became a clown, and took the old man’s place. From that day on, the fact that Peter was different actually made him happy, thanks to his special talent.

A.He liked his job as a clown. B.He was a sensitive man.
C.He was unable to make Peter laugh. D.He knew how to control his ticklishness.

“What worries you, boy ” said Mrs. Bell to a little boy, who sat near a wall at the back of her house, crying. “We have a long poem to learn,” said the boy called Tom Blair. “The one who says it best is to get a prize from the teacher. But I don’t think I can learn it. The boys call me ‘Slow Tom’. I think I should not try.”
“Don’t mind what the boys say. Let them see that you can learn it,” said his new friend kindly, “Well, dear, if you are slow, and can’t change it, try to be ‘slow and sure’, as they say. Look at that snail (蜗牛) on the wall. How slow it is! But it will get to the top in time. So just try to learn a few lines each day, and you may get the prize in the end.” After Mrs. Bell had said this, she went on her way. Tom thought that though he could not keep up with the boys, he might run a race with the snail. So he decided to try to learn his poem by the time the snail got to the top of the wall.
At last, the big day came. The teacher called up the boys to repeat the poem. When it was Tom’s turn, there was a laugh because most of the boys thought he would fail. But he did not miss a word. Tom was the best and got a prize.
