教学设计
一、教材分析
外研版7年级英语下册Module ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )9 Life history 共三个单元， 本节课是第九模块第一单元，首先以对话的形式介绍了马克.吐温及其代表作《汤姆.索耶历险记》.选材和编写目的主要有两个： 一是向学生介绍名家，马克吐温是世界著名的小说家、幽默大师，也是美国现实主义文学家的杰出代表；二是引导学生阅读名著，马克吐温的《汤姆.索耶历险记》是非常适合初中生阅读的作品，它描写的是少年儿童追求新奇、冒险的生活，这会深深吸引这个阶段的孩子，对话的编写也蕴含着教材作者的良苦用心，除了在短短的对话中介绍马克吐温主要的人生经历外，还以同龄人的口吻让中国学生了解到英美很多学生都读过这本书，而且很喜欢。此外，编者还意识的向学生呈现英美学生长做的功课---写报告。
第二单元是读写课，阅读课文是传记文 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )体，本模块以生活经历为话题，主要以英国著名剧作家莎士比亚的生活经历为题材，通过学习，使学生了解这位一代文学巨匠。
本模块的主要语法是一般过去时，教学重点是通过对个人或他人过去经历的描述，重点学习本模块中出现的重点词汇、短语、固定搭配和句型。
课前准备一些节日和马克 吐温以及莎士比亚的的图片和资料，让学生在时讨论和观看。
学情分析
初一学生在下学期已经有一定学习能力， ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )并掌握了大量的词汇，语言表达能力较初一上学期有所增强。但是，有部分学生开始出现厌学情绪，有一部分学生基础知识掌握不牢，缺乏学习兴趣及动力。 因此在设计教学环节时，要顾及这些成绩稍差的学生，降低难度，由易到难，由浅入深，慢慢调动他们参与的积极性。
三、教学方法
以说为主要教学方 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )式，以任务型教学为主要方法，通过同桌讨论和小组以及全班讨论，让每个学生充分练习口语和说的能力，并将听说读写有机地贯穿一体。设立一些语言环境，结合故事和人物经历，最后一起学习重难点，为突破重难点做一些课堂和课后的练习。
