Whales are very huge animals. They live in the sea. Usually they eat small fish and other sea life. There are about ninety-eight kinds of whales in the world. One interesting fact is that whales can sing songs. In fact, that’s how they communicate with each other.

Now some kinds of whales are in danger because humans catch them for meat, fat and oil. Some people use whale oil to make things like candles and soap and sell them for money. What’s worse, water pollution is one of the main reasons for their death.

As we all know, animals are friends of humans. There are different/various(各种各样的) kinds of animals all over the world. Of all the animals, I like pandas best. However, they are endangered. I'd like to briefly(简短地) introduce the situation of them.
To begin with, pandas look very cute/adorable(可爱的). They like eating bamboo. They spend more than 12 hours a day eating about 10 kilos of bamboo. What’s more(而且), pandas have become so popular that they are now a symbol of China and one of the most popular animals in the world.
Unfortunately(不幸的是)/However, pandas are now in danger. This is because humans started to cut down bamboo forests many years ago. As the forests get smaller and other human activities cause more problems, pandas cannot find enough food to eat and they are having fewer babies.
Under such serious situation, I call on(呼吁) people to play a part in protecting pandas. For example, the government should set up more nature reserves/parks(保护区) in order to provide a safe and comfortable environment for pandas. Besides, we can also raise money and stop polluting to help them. I hope there will be a lot more pandas in the future. Let’s start from now!
