In the work environment, you either get along with co-workers who are easy to work with, or you come across difficult officemates. Difficult people may come in different personalities. They can be nice and friendly but still be difficult. Identifying these problem colleagues will help you deal with them properly.
The chatterbox(喋喋不休的人) is a sociable person, someone whose life is an open book. Nonstop talking is really annoying. The person can become an obstacle to your attention at work. The gossipers(爱说闲话的人), on the other hand, talk about everything about everyone in the office. One minute, they talk to you about other colleagues; the next thing you know, you are already the subject of the gossip. Another type of difficult co-worker is the negativists. Much like complainers, they are pessimistic about things, and easily making others fall into negative environment.
The ways in dealing with difficult people depend on their behaviors. If you think that the difficult behavior can be solved with a nice conversation, make sure to keep the talk private. Do not avoid the problem. Empathize with your co-worker, too. Try to put yourself in their shoes and understand the feeling and the situation they are in. But do not get carried away in your emotion.
