【教材分析】本课为Module 10的第二单元,是读写课。让学生能够读懂描述天气状况的语言材料,并且学会阅读,学会理解文章大意和提取细节信息的方法。能够就某一问题提出建议并做出解释,不仅知道游览美国的最佳时间,而且能够就选择最佳时机来中国游玩给出建议,从而提高学生的理解能力和表达能力。
【学情分析】本课的授课对象是八年级的学生们,基础参差不齐,但他们活泼好动,善于表现自我。本单元的语法项目是表可能的词的运用及运用所学知识,借助所学知识,运用because,so, but对到美国参观的最佳时机写一些建议。让学生学会通过小组讨论,写一篇吸引游客到美国或到自己家乡游览的文章。该话题贴进学生的生活,便于他们利用自己的实际情况和所学知识来展开话题。因此根据新课标的要求,我以学生的兴趣为出发点,以培养学生的自主学习的能力和合作精神为目的,让学生积极的参与到课堂中来,并且充分利用图片、多媒体课件等教学辅助设备,加强直观印象,对难点进行适当指导,培养学生自主、合作、融会贯通的学习能力。

1、能掌握本单元的单词及短语,能够读懂描述天气状况的语言材料。
2、自主学习,能口头回答关于天气的对话。通过速读、精读和泛读来完成本单元阅读文章中的问题。
【技能目标】:
1、能听懂本单元学习活动中的问题,做出较得体的回答。
2、能够就某一问题给出建议,并使用because,so, but写出原因和说明。
3、能读懂描述天气的文章。
4. 借助所学知识,对到美国参观的最佳时机写一些建议。通过小组讨论,写一篇吸引游客到美国游览的文章。
【情感态度】:
激情投入,专注高效;培养学习地理知识的愿望和兴趣,热爱自己的家乡,并能够就选择最佳时机来中国游玩给出建议。
【学习策略】:
1、能根据需要进行有目的预习,使其对教师的教学内容起补充作用。
2、通过自主互助与小组合作的方法,学会阅读,学会理解文章大意和提取细节信息的方法。
3、充分利用图片、多媒体课件等教学辅助设备,加强直观印象,对难点进行适当指导,培养学生自主、合作、融会贯通的学习能力。

初步了解美国的地理位置,了解世界各地的天气情况。

[设计意图] 通过师生对话,创设一个轻松的英语氛围。激发学生的学习积极性,活跃课堂气氛。
通过抢答,引出本课的课题—When’s the best time to visit the US?,激发起学生们的兴奋点,有利于新课的学习,并使学生对本课的知识有了一定的预测。

Step 4【释难解惑】Language points
1. The best time to visit New England is in September.
九月是去新英格兰游览的最佳时间。
这里的New England (新英格兰) 指的是美国东北部的一个地区,他包括六个州:缅因州(Maine)、新罕布什尔州(New Hampshire)、佛蒙特州(Vermont )、马萨诸塞州(Massachusetts)、罗得岛州(Rhode Island) 和康涅狄格州(Connecticut) 。这里的小镇非常美丽,每年秋天都会有大批游客来此游玩。1614年英国探险家约翰?史密斯 ( John Smith ) 给这个地方起名为新英格兰。
2. Bring your camera so you can take photos of the autumn trees.
带上你的照相机以便可以拍摄秋天的树木。
take photos of …的意思是“给……拍照”。例如:
I took a photo of Linda.
我给琳达拍了一张照片。
3. In Texas and the southeast, it’s usually very hot and sunny compared to other places. 和其他地方对比,得克萨斯州和东南部地区通常天气很热,阳光灿烂。
compared to 意为“和……比较”, 表示此意也可以用compared with。例如:

[设计意图]“学以致用”是学生的学习目的。要对课本进行适当的拓展和延伸,学生要学会处理生活中的突发事件,具有应变的能力,并采取妥善的措施。学生要学会如何的保护自己和他人,遇事要保持冷静的头脑。
齐心协力当导游。

(2)Discuss in groups. If you are a guide,decide how to sell the travel of the USA to attract (吸引) the tourist.
[设计意图]把学生分成五组,每组的学生具有不同的任务, 让学生进行小组讨论,充分的交流与合作,让每位同学都知道如何去写。能够资源共享,在课堂上完成写作,单位时间里提高了教学和学习的效益。

[设计意图]要多阅读课文,培养学生的语感和节奏,联系学生生活实际,引导学生关注生活环境, 在用中学。
Step8教学反思:
在准备这节课的过程中,我本着“新、活、动”的原则去设计。
新:我采用新的课程理念去设计本课,尽量在课程设计中体验出“以学生发展为主”的新课程理念,采用“小组合作”教学模式。
活:要求本课在课堂活动安排上具有灵活性、随机性。
动:根据新课程理念,新的英语课堂模式应是互动的。根据这一理念我设计了形式多样的、有利于学生参与竞争与合作的课堂活动。激发了学生的学习爱好,增强了学生学好英语的信心和决心,活跃了课堂气氛。在设计本课时充分体现了新课程的理念,课堂上,教师和学生一起参与课堂活动,并且在写作方面,采用从句子到语篇的写作方式。这种递进的方式对于英语基础不好的学生尤为有用。在基本掌握了含有because 、so、 but句的用法后,通过写作,能够将所学知识进一步巩固和强化。但是我感觉这节课还有很多不足之处。例如,“活“字体现的还不到位。我会在以后的教学中更加注意这方面的练习。

1.英语口语表达,能自编对话,同桌或小组能准确表达。
2.能正确理解主要功能句的意义,并自由写作。第一步是句子的写作,第二步是语篇的写作。第一步为第二步作好准备,这种递进的方式对于英语基础不好的学生尤为有用。

分层次评价:
注意学生学习中现实存在的层次性。
学优生评价:能够熟练掌握专题一所学内容,达成学习目标。能流利地用英语提出问题、判断问题的严重性、给出建议。
学困生评价:能够积极向同学和老师求助,能够利用课本所提供的帮助材料学习,能够基本运用英语提出问题、判断问题的严重性、及时解决问题。
Step10教学效果:
建立了新型的师生关系,学生在合作中体验了成功,树立了信心,成功完成了本课的教学目的,达到了预期的课堂效果。
