Do you think “white lie” is the best answer
I think , maybe the best answer will be like this: I’m sorry that you didn’t reach your ideal goal in the exam. As for me, although I also made some mistakes, luckily I did a bit better than I had expected this time. Now, forget it and just work harder! I’m sure that you will make great progress next time.

1 What does the “web” in the poem represent
It represents a complicated situation, in which once we tell a lie, we have to continue to tell more lies in order to cover the previous ones.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, When first we practise to deceive!

2 What would you do in the situations describe in the passage
But the first time we start to lie, even if it's a white lie or a little lie, we get caught up in an endless process of fabricating lies that make us less trustworthy. Even if you deceive your friends for a while, the price you often pay is the consequence of losing your integrity. So again, honesty is the best policy. Even white lies have results we cannot know in advance.

3 What do you think is the difference between a lie and a white lie
A lie is told to cover the truth in order to benefit yourself, which can be harmful to others.
A white lie is told to avoid hurting others, without bad intention,

4 How would you feel if you were told a white lie
Share your experience with the class if this has happened to you.
There is no doubt that a white lie is a lie. Lying, lying is cheating, cheating is immoral, immoral things are unpopular, these are all taught by teachers. But we ask ourselves, who hasn't told a lie Whether it is for their relatives, friends, or strangers, there are many purposes, but when we add a "good faith" to the lie, it seems that everyone may accept it, which is the concentrated performance of human weakness.
Mark Twain once said, "When in doubt, tell the truth." It will embarrass your rivals and relieve your friends." Therefore, the view of psychological experts is: don't easily lie, even if it is a white lie.

Learn to write an essay
An essay usually consists of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion.
Start with an introduction that contains the aims and the overview of the essay. The main body of an essay is a series of paragraphs that explore and develop your argument. The conclusion contains a summary of your ideas--do not introduce any new material here! End your essay by linking your conclusion back to the essay title.
Tell a lie once, and all the truth will become questionable. White lies may avoid hurting others, but honesty matters.
Work in groups. Give a talk on the importance of honesty following the steps below.
Explain what honesty is.
Give reasons for the importance of being honest.
Support your reasons with examples.

Honesty is the quality of being truthful and sincere in one's words and actions. It plays a crucial role in building and maintaining trust in relationships. Being honest helps avoid misunderstandings and clears the air, fostering a healthier environment.
For instance, imagine a student who cheats on an exam to please their parents. Though seemingly harmless, this lie could lead to further dishonest behavior, damaging their character and potentially affecting their future. Moreover, if discovered, it would shatter the trust between the student and their parents.
In conclusion, honesty is fundamental in every aspect of life. Even well-intentioned lies can have unpredictable and detrimental consequences. Therefore, it's always best to be truthful and sincere.
