1. OK, please pay attention for a moment!
pay attention 意为“注意”，其后可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式作宾语，构成pay attention to (doing) sth. 结构。例如：

2. Before we set off, there are a few rules and suggestions for you.
set off 意为“动身，出发”，相当于 set out，是不及物动词短语。后面跟介词 for 时意为“动身去某地”。例如：
He has just set out / off for Beijing. 他刚刚动身去北京了。
suggestion 可数名词，意为 “建议”；advice 不可数名词，意为“建议”。例如：
What a useful suggestion! / What useful advice!
3. You mustn’t go off on your own.
(1) go off 意为“离开”，为不及物动词短语。例如：
He’s gone off on his own. 他一个人走了。
Mary went off to buy some water. 玛丽去买水了。
go off 还可意为“（闹钟）响起；（电灯）熄灭； 变质”。例如：
The alarm clock went off just now. 刚才闹钟响了。
Suddenly the light went off. 电灯突然灭了。
Meat goes off quickly in summer. 夏天肉很快就变质。
(2) on one’s own 意为“独自地”，相当于 by oneself 或 alone。例如：
You should finish the work on your own.
你应该独自完成这项工作。
She lives on her own. 她独自生活。
4. Don’t drink all your water in one go.
in one go 或 at one go 意为“一口气，一下子”。例如：
He finished all his job in / at one go. 他一口气做完了所有的工作。
5. And you must be careful of falling stones.
be careful of 意为“小心，当心，谨慎对待”，与 be careful about / with同义。例如：
Be careful of the dog. It may bite you. 小心狗，它可能会咬你。
be careful 的其他用法：
(1) be careful “当心”，可单独使用，目的是引起他人注意。相当于 look out 或 watch out。
Be careful! There’s a bear! 当心，有熊！
(2) be careful to do sth. 意为“小心地做某事”。例如：
He is careful to light fire. 他小心翼翼地点着了火。

1. 辅音 + 元音：相邻的两个词，前者以辅音音素结尾，后者以元音音素开头，这时可以发生连读。例如：

2. 元音 + 元音：相邻的两个词，前者以元音音素 /w/ 或 /i/ 结尾，后者以元音音素开头，这时可以发生连读。例如：

3. /r/ 音节 + 元音：相邻的两个词，前者以 r 或 re 结尾，后者以元音音素开头，这时可以发生连读。例如：

4. 爆破音 + 爆破音或辅音：相邻的两个词，前者以爆破音结尾，后者以爆破音或者辅音音素开头，这时前面的爆破音失去爆破，后面的爆破音则需要完全爆破，例如：ho(t) day, an(d) the
5. 英语中当前一个音以t，d，s 或 z 结尾，后一个音以半元音 j 结尾时，会发生以下变化：
