The Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. It brings families together with joy and love.
The festival is celebrated on the first day of the first lunar month. There are many interesting activities during the festival. First, we put up red couplets on doors. They are symbols of good luck. Next, families enjoy a big reunion dinner. We eat dumplings and fish, which mean happiness and wealth. At midnight, we can set off colorful fireworks. They are so beautiful!
Also, children get lucky money in red envelopes from elders when visiting relatives. What’s more, lion dances are always exciting. People dance in lion costumes to loud music, and everyone cheers happily.
The Spring Festival brings families together and keeps our traditions alive. We all enjoy ourselves and love it very much!
