Role play
Some people think only school children do not agree with their parents, however, it is not munication is a problem for parents and children of all ages. If it’s hard for you to communicate with your parents, don’t worry about it. Here are some suggestions for you to bridge generation gap(代沟).
Don’t argue with your parents. Don’t get to your parents when you are angry. Your parents probably won’t consider your ideas if you are shouting at them. You can’t express(表达) yourself well if you are angry. Go to some place to cool off. Make sure you understand why you are unhappy. Then think about what you want to say to your parents. If you don’t think you can speak to them at the moment, try writing a letter.
Try to reach a compromise(和解). Perhaps you and your parents disagree(有分歧) on something. You can keep your disagreement and try your best to accept each other. Michael’s mother didn’t agree with him about buying a car. They argued over it, but finally they came to a compromise. Michael bought the car, but only drove it on certain days.
Talk about your values. The values of your parents are probably different from those of your own. Tell your parents what you care about, and why. Understanding your values might help them see your purposes in life.
A good relationship with your parents can make you a better and happier person. It is worth having a try.

Baduanjin Exercise a Hit Among Young People in China (5 minutes)
Baduanjin, was widely known as a way to relax, because it helps people lower pressure. As an exclusive sport among the aged, it has gained popularity among the young people in China.
More than 1,000 videos about Baduanjin can be found on Bilibili, a video platform in China. A video released by the GASC (General Administration of Sport of China) to teach the public to do the exercise has gained about 10 million views and about 6,000 comments. Most of them were from college students and young people who attach great importance to health care.
Compared with Tai Chi and Wuqinxi (a kind of traditional Chinese exercise that imitates the movements of a bear, tiger, monkey, deer and birds), Baduanjin is more suitable for beginners with its simple and gentle movements. It doesn't require much space.
"I gave up aerobics and began to practice Baduanjin," a netizen commented.
The exercise also becomes part of PE class at a college. "Our school asked us to do this exercise and sent a video to our PE teacher," said a comment. Some people even livestream in the morning and share their skills. Film stars and fitness bloggers also do this exercise, which has attracted a large number of followers.
Originating from the Song Dynasty (420-479), Baduajin has a history of more than 800 years. It consists of eight movements, using limbs to stimulate meridians(经脉) inside the body.
Combining physical and mental health, Baduanjin can enhance immunity(免疫力) and help people relax. It is also a very low-cost social activity for young people in China.
