There are many traditional festivals in China, such as Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Day and so on. And my favorite festival is the Spring Festival. It falls on the first day of the first lunar month.
Before the festival, people usually buy lots of food and drinks. What’s more, they sweep out dust from houses and decorate their houses with couplets and beautiful lanterns. On the eve of the Spring Festival, people usually eat dumplings and have a big dinner with their families. After dinner, families watch the Spring Festival Gala together. I believe that it’s a good way to stay with families and enjoy lots of wonderful shows on TV. During the festival, people visit their friends and relatives. I think that kids like this festival best. Because they can set off fireworks and get lucky money from their parents.
It’s my favorite festival because I enjoy spending time with my families. Family is hugely important in Chinese culture. And it’s a time to say goodbye to the old year and to welcome the new year. Besides, I can get some money from families and relatives. It makes me feel very happy. What a meaningful festival!
