your students to create a set of rules expressed in their language.
Use this list as a starting point, making changes to meet the needs of your class and grade level.

an orderly environment. It's hard to remember a long list! Make your rules as clear as possible. Then decide
with your students' help what the consequences of breaking those rules will be.
Teach the rules as you have a regular lesson. It should be your first lesson. Discuss each rule with the
students, explain the reason behind it, and ask for examples of how it could be broken. Explain that rules
help make everyone's time in school more enjoyable and use examples to explain this point. It's also a good
idea to post the rules in the classroom and send a copy of them to each student's home.

When I was a little girl, I was never allowed to enter the kitchen. One morning, Mom and Dad went
shopping. I was home alone!
I got into the kitchen and decided to make an omelette (煎蛋卷). I took an egg and some tomatoes. I cut
the tomatoes but I cut my finger! That didn't stop me. I tried two or three times to break the egg open. Then I
lighted the fire and put the pan (平底锅) on it with some oil and salt in it. Suddenly, some oil dropped on the
floor!
I put the batter (面糊) into the pan,and then I realized I needed something to turn the omelette upside
down. So I searched all over the kitchen for the right tool. Finally I found it and ran to turn over the
omelette—only to see a nicely browned, or rather burnt side up! While I was busy taking it out onto a plate,
Mom came back. She was angry at seeing the kitchen in a mess: doors all opened, and oil was everywhere
on the floor.
I got the punishment(惩罚)— to eat the burnt omelette. My first cooking experience turned out to be

My father only had one eye. And because of this, I never wished him to show up in my school, being
afraid that my classmates would find out I had a bad looking father.
One day when I was in elementary school, I was terribly ill. My father came.
“Your father only has one eye!”said some of my classmates. I was so embarrassed(尴尬的). I wished
