Art has always been a reflection of human creativity and imagination. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), the world of art is changing. AI painting is changing the way we create and appreciate art.
People use computer programs to create artwork online which is called AI painting. These programs are trained on large databases of existing artwork, sketches, and photographs.
One of the key advantages of AI painting is its ability to produce artwork at a much faster pace than a human artist. While it may take a human artist hours or even days to complete a painting, an AI can create a similar piece in just a few minutes. Another advantage of AI painting is its ability to create artwork that is difficult or impossible for humans to produce. For example, some programs can turn 2D images into 3D images. Additionally, AI can be used to create artwork that combines various styles, leading to special pieces that would be challenging for a human artist to create alone.
However, there are also worries about the influence of AI on the art world. Some people argue that AI artwork is short of the emotional depth of human-created art. They believe that art is not just about creating pleasing images but also about expressing human experiences and feelings. Others worry that the widespread use of AI in art could lead to the same styles.
In conclusion, AI painting is redefining the world of art. It is a good tool for artists to explore new ideas. As we continue to explore this exciting new trend, it will be fascinating to see how AI painting develops and shapes the future of art.

Many people may throw away the pits inside fruits after eating them, but inheritors of nut carving (核雕继承人) have turned them into artworks instead.
Weifang nut carving can date back to the Qing Dynasty. During that time, an old imperial craftsman (皇家手艺人) Wang Dayan spread the skill to the local people in Shandong Province. Craftsmen back then often used peach pits (桃核) to show off their artistic skills. Because of the high level of carving skills needed, the traditional culture and its rich artistic theme, Weifang nut carving was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage (国家非物质文化遗产) in 2008.
“One nut, from 0.8 to 6 centimeters long, can be made into fan pendants (坠饰), earrings, buttons, seals and so on,” said Tan Wanhai, 48, an inheritor of Weifang nut carving. Tan has studied the art of nut carving for 25 years and has created many nut carvings.
However, the craftsman also said that bringing this kind of artwork to life is not easy. “Unlike some pits like olive pits which have a flat surface, each peach pit has its own special texture (质地) like human fingerprints,” Tan said, adding that, craftsmen have to study each peach pit to carefully plan out their artwork.
Nut carving craftsmen also need to have knowledge in many areas. According to Tan, they have to master skills in painting, seal carving and calligraphy (书法) from many traditional cultures.
Thanks to their creative design and fresh ideas, Weifang nut carving artworks have been increasingly welcomed by people in China. More people are learning the art and have even become inheritors to pass down the skill to young people.
“Now, the number of inheritors is about 1,000. But I believe it could be bigger. More craftsmen now give up the tradition of passing down the skill only through the family and open it up to anyone who is interested in learning the skill,” said Tan.
33.Weifang nut carving was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage because of _________.
①the high level of carving skills needed ②its rich artistic theme
③the traditional culture ④the popularity around the world
A.①②③ B.②③④ C.①②④ D.①③④

35.What distinguishes (区别) peach pits from other types of pits for nut carving, according to Tan Wanhai
A.Peach pits are smaller in size compared to other types of pits.

C.Peach pits are harder to carve due to their irregular shape.
D.Peach pits are only suitable for creating certain types of nut carving artworks.

When they finally arrived in Venice,”可知,他在东方待了近17年后回到威尼斯 (e);再根据第一段“He wrote a book about his travels.”
41.A 42.E 43.C 44.B 45.D
41.根据上文“a beetle suddenly flew in through the door and fell upon a woman’s jacket.”以及下文“She started jumping and tried to shake the beetle off of her jacket.” 故选A。
42.根据上文“but it flew to rest on another woman’s dress.”和下文“Then the beetle fell upon a boy’s sweater.”
43.根据下文“When he thought that the time was right for action, he quickly covered the beetle with the paper, caught it, and threw it out of the restaurant.”
44.根据下文“The three people reacted differently to the beetle and had different results in the end.”
45.根据下文“I just meant that the boy did better.”

根据“However, Iris still felt…and her parents tried many ways to cheer her up.”
根据下文“They got along very well in just a few weeks.” 故填(a)ttracted。
根据上文“They got along very well in just a few weeks.”以及“Iris’s mother found that it was easier to make Iris speak with others when Thula was around.”
51. decided on
故填decided;on。
52. was done/finished/completed
【详解】“完成”do/finish/complete,主语Every step和谓语之间是动宾关系,且由“inspired”可知,时态是一般过去时,所以空处一般过去时的被动语态(was/were done),主语是单数名词,所以用was,故填was;done/finished/completed。
53. It’s cruel of to
【详解】根据汉语提示可知,此处用句型 “It’s+形容词+of sb.+to do sth.”,表示 “对某人来说做某事是……的” ,cruel “残忍的”,因此第一空填 “It’s cruel of”;第二空填 “ to ”。故填It’s cruel of;to。
54. at birth
故填at;birth。
