Can anyone make art Can artists make art from anything Let’s look at art through the eyes of some very amazing modern artists to answer these questions. *Kieron Williamson the Painting Talent
When he was five, Kieron Williamson drew pictures of boats he saw on a family trip to Cornwall, England. This was the start of Kieron’s love of drawing. The more he drew, the better his drawings became. Kieron wanted to learn more about art, so he spent time with local artists in his hometown. They helped him build his skills in drawing and painting. Four years later, Kieron is considered to be a talented child. Today, although he is busy with school and football, he draws or paints daily. It makes me think of places I can’t see.”*Patrick Dougherty, the Stick Sculptor

Dougherty’s sculptures are made of young trees, or thin branches. The branches are soft, so he can make them in round shapes. He keeps the branches together by tying them around each other. Building the sculpture is a big job, so the local community helps Dougherty with his project. Many volunteers help to collect the branches, mark out the space, and build the sculpture. The sculptures are not long lasting. They will break down in a few months. * Edgar Mueller, the Street Painter

56.例文
Dear Amy,
I’m writing to introduce our school clubs to you. There are many different kinds of clubs in our school.
As we all know, Chinese traditional culture is attracting attention from all over the world, so Chinese Culture Club is very popular among students in our school. By joining the club, you can not only learn more about traditional Chinese culture, but also learn paper cutting, making Chinese knots and other traditional skills. I think you will be interested in them.
If you like cartoons, joining the Cartoon Club is also a good choice. Club members often get together to share their favorite cartoons, and besides that you can learn how to make cartoons by yourself, which is very interesting and challenging.
We also have the Wildlife Club. This is a group of boys and girls who love animals. You know I’m crazy about animals, so I joined Wildlife Club, too. We make profiles of animals that are in great danger. They are really poor. Lots of trees have been cut down and they have lost their homes. Human hunting and killing has also made them endangered. We have to take measures to protect them, such as stopping hunting, protecting their homes, making policies and so on.
Clubs make our school life more colorful, and we can make more friends in different clubs. That’s why I like our school clubs so much.
What do you think of these clubs Please tell me which club you like.I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
Li Hua
