Should we use artificial intelligence (AI,人工智能) in schools Some people may say no, but
many people think we should use it in a good way. 1 Zheng Qinghua, a teacher of Tongji
University, said it’s important for us to use AI in education. He believed that AI could help us
learn new things and get better at what we study. He also advised that young people should
improve their understanding of how technology changes our lives.
2 Zheng said that an AI chatbot (聊天机器人) can write papers, solve science problems
and do homework. Students also used AI for their study. A school did a survey (调查), it showed
that 89% of students had used ChatGPT to help them do homework.
However, some people worry that it may bring the problem of academic integrity (学术诚信)
and bad problems on education. 3 They use AI to give answers or finish homework and
tests instead. People should use AI to help students be creative and solve real-world problems,
said Zheng.
Colin Bailey, a teacher of Queen Mary University of London, said that as ChatGPT develops
fast, stopping AI from being used in schools is not the answer. Instead, we should think about how
to use it safely and in the right way.
To make it come true, people around the world are working on rules to make sure people use

Pandas usually have two names, a nickname (乳名) and an official name. The nickname is

would be nicknamed “Jingda”, while the younger would be “Jingxiao”. 3 Some
pandas get their nicknames because of their appearances, while others are named after their
birthplaces.
After they get their official names, nicknames are no longer used. This is because the pandas
go into a special database (数 据 库 ). Their names will carry information about their family
relationships. The pandas will also get a special code (编码) to show who they are, just like our ID
card numbers. All of this helps with scientific research.

away as a gift to other countries.
