教学内容分析
本文以“创办网上社区”为主题，讲述了一位年过五旬的失业女教师，利用互联网改变了自己也帮助了他人的故事。让学生了解到互联网给社会文明带来的变化。语篇结构完整，主题思想积极向上，充满正能量。
通过一系列的阅读活动，在教师的有效引导下，运用速读和细读等阅读策略帮助学生梳理文本内容，理清文本结构，把握文本的主题意义。
学情分析
通过本单元前面的学习，学生对该话题内容有了一定的了解，同时，对该话题相关的语言知识的积累有了一定程度的增加。虽然学生对网络这一话题比较熟悉且比较感兴趣，由于受到词汇和组织语言的能力的局限，很难将自己的观点流畅地表达出来。需要教师进行有效的引导和语言的持续输入。
学生通过文本的学习，能够学习Jan的优秀品质，学会客观、辩证的看待和使用因特网获取和处理有用信息，使其服务于自己的学习和生活，从而避免让自己沉迷于电子游戏而荒废了学业，虚度了光阴。

Step1：lead-in
教师展示网络改变生活的照片，引导学生了解、思考、表达网络带给我们的影响。
活动意图说明：通过图片导入，开门见山引入主题, 激发学生学习探索文本的兴趣，为理解下文做铺垫。

学生通过观察题目，预测文章内容。
