if/whether 在从句中不充当任何成分,不可省略(在介词之后、动词不定式之前或与or not连用时,只能用whether) I asked them whether/if they would win the match. 我问他们是否能赢得这场比赛。

I really don’t know whether to accept or refuse.我真的不知道要接受还是拒绝。

when(表时间), where(表地点), why(表原因), how(表方式) 在从句中充当状语,不可省略 I will tell you why I am angry with him. 我会告诉你我为什么生他的气。
  (2)语序
宾语从句的语序是陈述句语序,即引导词+主语+谓语+其他成分。e.g.
How much is the car?这辆车多少钱? → Do you know how much the car is?你知道这辆车多少钱吗?
Where is he from? 他来自哪里? → I wonder where he is from. 我想知道他来自哪里。
(3)时态
①主句是一般现在时,从句根据实际情况使用任何时态。e.g.
I think he is a top student.我认为他是个尖子生。
陈述事实用一般现在时
I think you did wrong yesterday.我认为你昨天做错了。
   
I think I will achieve my dream one day.我认为我有一天会实现我的梦想。
      
表示过去的时间状语→一般过去时
表示将来的时间状语→一般将来时

②主句是一般过去时,从句须用过去的某种时态。e.g.

表示过去某一时刻的时间状语→过去进行时

③当宾语从句表示的是一个客观事实或者真理时,即使主句是过去时,从句也用一般现在时。e.g.
The teacher told us that the earth goes around the sun.老师告诉我们地球绕着太阳转。
The teacher once said light travels faster than sound.老师曾说过光传播得比声音快。

when 意为“当……的时候”。主从句动作同时或先后发生;从句谓语动词既可用非延续性动词,也可用延续性动词 When he came in, I was talking with a few boys. 他进来时,我正在和几个男孩谈话。

while 意为“当……的时候;与……同时”。主从句动作同时发生;从句谓语动词用延续性动词 While we were waiting for the bus, it was raining heavily. 我们等公共汽车时,正下着大雨。
从属连词(词组) 含义及用法 例 句
before 意为“在……之前”。主句动作发生在从句动作之前 Please turn off the lights before you leave the classroom. 在你离开教室之前请关灯。
after 意为“在……之后”。主句动作发生在从句动作之后 I will do my homework after I have supper. 吃完晚饭我会写作业。
从属连词(词组) 含义及用法 例 句
until/till 意为“到……时;直到……为止”。主句动作发生在从句动作之前;主句谓语为延续性动词时用肯定句式,主句谓语为非延续性动词时用否定句式 I will wait here until/till you come back. 我会在这儿等,直到你回来。
He didn’t go to bed until he finished his homework. 他直到完成作业才上床睡觉。
从属连词(词组) 含义及用法 例 句
since 意为“自……以来”。主句用现在完成时或一般现在时,从句用一般过去时 They have lived in Hefei since they came to China. 自从他们来到中国,他们就住在合肥。
as soon as 意为“一……就……”。主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时(主将从现) I’ll call you as soon as I come back.我一回来就给你打电话。
(2)条件状语从句
从属连词(词组) 含 义 例 句
if 意为“如果;假如;倘若” If my father has time tomorrow, he will attend the meeting.如果我爸爸明天有时间,他将参加会议。
unless 意为“除非;如果不”,相当于相当于“if…not…” You will not pass the exam unless you study hard.如果你不努力学习,就不能通过考试。
as/so long as 意为“只要;只有” As/So long as you work hard, you’ll succeed. 只要你努力学习,你就会成功。
(3)原因状语从句
从属连词 含义及用法 例 句
because 意为“因为”,语气最强。主句中不可再用so I often exercise at the park because I love the clean air and sunshine.我经常在公园锻炼,因为我喜欢清新的空气和阳光。
从属连词 含义及用法 例 句
since 意为“因为;既然”,语气较弱 Since everybody is here, let’s begin. 既然大家都在这里,让我们开始吧。
as 意为“因为”,语气最弱 I didn’t eat breakfast as I got up late. 我没有吃早餐,因为我起床晚了。
(4)目的状语从句

so that 意为“以便” They ran fast so that they could catch the bus. 他们跑得很快,以便能赶上公交车。
in order that 意为“为了” He left early in order that he could catch the early bus. 为了能赶上早班车,他早早离开了。
3.定语从句
