I’m LiHua, a senior two student in XinHua senior high school,whose work named Shadow won a national competition. The work is on display all over the world. My school life is rich and colorful. What fascinates me most is turning to photography magazines to find inspirations in my spare time .What I saw in the magazines set my idea for shadow in motion, in which I combined Chinese traditions and western influences.

本课是一篇介绍三位不同领域的艺术家,如艺术家Florentijin Hofman,作曲家谭盾,舞蹈家杨丽萍。介绍了他们的作品及他们对艺术灵感的解读。读前活动请学生选择艺术灵感的来源,把Starting out 和Understanding ideas的内容做了很好衔接,旨在建立学生与课文话题及内容的联系,为课文学习做好铺垫。读中活动择通过主旨大意的归纳,细节理解等活动,启发学生深入思考,探究主题意义。重点词汇主要涉及艺术灵感来源的相关词汇,如:folk, compose等。

本堂课以What inspires you 为主题,课前让学生复习理解相关生词。为了帮助建立学生与课文话题及内容的联系,本课最开始设计了引导学生了解艺术家及灵感来源的相关信息。引出促成名人成功的灵感来源有很多,从而引出阅读文章What inspires you 通过快速阅读文章让学生根据文章结构了解每个艺术家的艺术灵感来源,第二遍深度阅读,让学生通过基于文章结构的思维导图收集、整理语篇中关于艺术家成就,及其艺术灵感来源的相关信息,进一步加强学生单元话题的了解,并习得描述成就和创作灵感的相关表达。通过填空的形式,完成对文章的深入理解,深化对于文本语言知识的理解,将知识转化为能力。在迁移创新类活动上,引导学生基于课文内容联系生活实际,从三位艺术家的艺术创作生涯中获得启发和鼓励,能够表达出自己如何获得学习上和生活上的灵感并取得成功,运用文本中习得的表达进行演讲稿写作输出。
Step1 Leading-in
1.Watch the video , find out Leonardo’s inspiration sources and fill in the blanks .
Leonardo da Vinci, one of of all time. Today, we know him mostly as an artist, but there was even more to Leonardo. Among his many talents, he was an engineer, an architect and an inventor.
He was endlessly curious about the natural world, and took every opportunity to experience and examine it. what fascinated Leonardo most were ,and he did many drawings of them. They inspired him to design machines to help people fly. He left behind many drawings and notes of his ideas for such inventions, including a parachute(降落伞), a form of helicopter (直升机)and a strange flying machine with flapping(拍打的) wings.
