1 语言知识目标:要求学生能够识记本课的目标词汇:group,light, ,impossible,take,out,communicate,solar system,galaxy, universe。
2 语言技能目标: 学生能够读懂以太空为主题的简单文章并能识别细节,做出正误判断。能够根据图片完成与主题相关的写作任务。
3 学习策略:(1)自学策略:能够主动通过检索各种资源了解关于太空的信息;
(2)合作学习策略:能够合作完成角色扮演,能够根据小组内的同学的特长与他们分工合作,完成任务
4 文化意识:通过了解中国在太空探索领域取得的伟大成就,增强学生的民族意识和民族自豪感
5 情感目标: 通过阅读培养学生对天文知识的兴趣和对未知事物的探索精神。

本节课教学设计说明:
整个教学设计以journey为线索,以module3 Journey to space, 分享一部关于太空探测的最新电影,但是这部电影是一部关于 a dangerous journey to Mars 的故事。尽管电影听起来很危险,但却非常精彩。同学们是否也想拥有一个这样的旅行,那一定要学习一些关于太空探测的知识,并且经过测试才能进行。由此,进入课文的学习,逐步处理泛读,精读,并完成相对应的任务。最后所有的学生完美的经过了测试,来设想自己的已经应有的一个火星之旅。并小组讨论自己在这次旅行中遇到的奇特经历,分享给大家。
一 感情调节
新课导入
1. 利用最新流行的电影《火星救援》导入本课,,以module3 Journey to space, 分享一部关于太空探测的最新电影,但是这部电影是一部关于 a dangerous journey to Mars 的故事。尽管电影听起来很危险,但却非常精彩。同学们是否也想拥有一个这样的旅行,那一定要学习一些关于太空探测的知识,并且经过测试才能进行。
Work in pairs. Test 1: Put the words and phrases in the order (small---big)
小组合作,完成第一个关于太空知识的测试,
提示:让学生借助图片进行小组合作解决在后面阅读中可能遇到的词汇,并增强学生的话题意识,积极引导孩子回答,反馈时由学生的回答过渡到课文阅读,从而为提出课文阅读任务做准备。
二、自主学习(仅此知识不够用的,大家需要学习更多的知识才能开始自己的太空之旅,由此过度到了文章的学习)
1. 速读1,把握每个段落的大意,理解文章的框架结构。并由此,学会和应用寻找关键词的学习策略。
2. 速读2,把握文章大意。
阅读文章的段首和段尾,寻找文章的最佳标题。这是一种在阅读理解中,给文章找题目的最实用的阅读方法。
2. 精读,分段阅读把握文章细节信息。
(1)精读第一段,完成问题,并且注重文章的翻译方法,更好的理解文章。同时注意段落之前的逻辑关系。在第二个问题中,充分利用追问的技巧,让学生理解和体会文章之间的逻辑关系。
(2)再次精读第二段,利用填空练习,让学生明白天体之间的包涵关系。同时教师利用自己的思维导图,进行第二段落的复述,学会叙述和讲解天体知识。此部分是一个多层次的目标任务。如果依靠教师的思维导图,将得一颗星。如果学生在小组活动中做出自己的思维导图,并完成复述,将得两颗星。以此来训练学生合作的意识和积极思维的能力。
(3)精读第三段。基于对学生前边任务完成的很精彩的鼓励,将展示一张非常美丽的图片给学生---美轮美奂的夜空。在晚上,夜空中星星如此美丽,但为什么看起来如此小呢?为什么呢?对学生进行追问,完成第三段的精读。同时,引出距离单位“光年”。以光年的概念来想象宇宙到底有多大?
(4)尽管宇宙如此之大,但是科学家从未停止对它的探索,例如,科学家已经将宇宙飞船和宇航员送入了月球。那么,科学家曾向其他地方发送过宇宙飞船吗?由此导入,第四段的精读。
在此,提升文章的情感态度价值观,科学家是如此的伟大!我们应该以他们为骄傲。
尤其是那些宇航员,在探月之旅中,有许多非常伟大的宇航员,他们非常勇敢。在此,介绍世界第一个登月之人。阿姆斯特朗和中国的第一个登上月球的玉兔月球车。以丰富学生的太空探测知识。
(5)尽管人类已经对太空的探索取得了很大进步,但是科学家和人类依然有疑问,由此进入最后一段的精读。
我们孤独吗?是否天外有人?天外来客访问归我们吗?……此处,设计为开放性问题,让学生充分发挥自己的想象,拓展思维。结合同学们在电影,电视中接触到的外星人,UFO,等等。
发表自己的看法。猜测答案。真正的答案其实是在学生的手里,因此需要学生们努力学习,找到问题的答案,在此鼓励孩子们积极,努力的学习,培养他们的探索精神。
三,学以致用
在学生们通过本节课的所有关于太空知识的测试之后,既可以开始自己到达火星的美妙之旅了。假设在2007年,大家已经有过一次去火星的旅行,在火星上有什么奇特的经历呢?依据教师给出的一系列问题,小组合作,谈论自己的经历,以思维导图的形式呈现出来,最后在课堂上进行展示。并评出最佳小组,此项目标任务的评价为四颗星。
四 作业及巩固。
最后的作业设置为分层次的任务,每个同学必须根据今天的课上的展示,成文,将自己去火星的假设经历,写成作文,并进行完善。另外,可以根据网络或书籍资源,选取自己最喜欢的天体或宇宙飞船等,制作一张海报。并在班内进行评比展示。
