A report by Bilibili in February showed that over 177 million of the platform’s users loved videos full of traditional culture.
Looking for the reason behind guochao, Ji Fangfang, a professor of Social Sciences, said, “It’s because traditional culture is the best way to tell our national identity (身份).” No matter how the guochao trend develops, people always keep positive toward the country’s development. “It also shows our growing confidence in national culture.” said Yao Linqing, a professor in Communication University of China.

When most people graduate from high school or college, they usually think their education is complete. But in fact, it’s important to continue learning after finishing school. Personally speaking, learning can be fun. It can give you something interesting to talk about. And it is good for your brain. Just as exercise makes your body stronger, your mind becomes sharper when you use it. Being a lifelong learner can also help you with your work or job. Knowledge in other areas can help you develop creative ideas in your present job. So how do you become a lifelong learner First, you should stick to learning new things even when it isn’t easy. It may help if you find friends who will encourage your learning. It’s also a good idea to find time to learn during your day. Carry a book with you, and read when you have to wait. Audio (有声的) books are also helpful. You can listen to them while traveling or doing chores. Finding ways to use what you learn can help you remember things. If you want to learn how to fix appliances (家用电器), try fixing some at home. If you’re learning a foreign language, find someone who speaks that language to talk to. If you’re learning facts about science, explain what you’re learning to someone else. Then you can help that person be a lifelong learner, too!

(2023·广东佛山·三模)As a foreigner who has lived in China for several years, I always like watching Chinese cooking videos. But the videos I like the most show me more than just cooking.
My favorite food vlogger is Rose. Known as “African Li Ziqi”, she has got nearly 11.5 million followers and 160 million likes on her posts on Douyin! In most of her videos, Rose shows people how to make delicious Chinese meals and snacks. From making a fire to washing and preparing the ingredients(食材), you can see dishes like a whole roast duck come to life. Once, she even posted a video to show how to make dumplings on Spring Festival Eve. That impressed me a lot!
Like many Chinese people, I think her videos special because she is so good at Chinese cooking, although she herself is not Chinese. She learned about Chinese dishes and Chinese cooking only after she married her Chinese husband, who is a cook, at the age of 20.
In her videos, sometimes you can also see her chat happily with the other villagers in Chinese, which shows a true connection to Chinese culture and society. Foreign members in a community always want to connect better with local people. And Rose shows us how this can be done, with her positive energy(正能量). She is a real bridge between cultures. People in China see her as the foreign wife who most understands Chinese culture and society.
36.Who is the writer’s favourite food vlogger

(2023·广东惠州·一模)Students from Taizhou Middle School, Jiangsu Province, experience farming during their labor course. As we all know, the life skills like cooking and painting are important and should be taught as part of labor education.
On June 3, 2020, the Ministry of Education(MOE)(教育部) gave a document showing the new curriculum (方案) for high schools across the country. Labor education includes housework, school labor and community voluntary services.
“Labor education must be carried out with the purpose to make the right view of the world, life and values and develop an interest in doing housework,” said Vice-Minister of Education Zheng Fuzhi.
According to China Youth Daily, the labor course will take six credits(学分)—the same as foreign language and physics.Voluntary service, as part of labor education, will take two credits. The MOE also asks schools to make sure 40 hours of voluntary service during the full three school years.
According to Xinhua, adding labor education was out of care that the country’s young people do too little housework and that they think labor jobs aren’t important. Because of a lot of school pressure, most schools pay more attention to the course of education and parents may think that doing housework will waste their kids’ time.
According to a survey, middle school students in China only spend 12 minutes a day on housework, compared with 72 minutes in the US, 42 minutes in South Korea and 30 minutes in France.
However, doing housework does not take young people’s attention away. Instead, it can help them to develop a strong working spirit, according to Julie Lythcott-Haims, the writer of How to Raise an Adult. “The earlier you started, the better...”, she said.

48.Why do schools pay more attention to the course of education
49.Who spend the least time on housework according to the survey in the passage
