1. The boy could give out food at the food bank. 这个男孩可以在食品救济站分发食物。
give out 分发;散发
give out是固定搭配,是“动词+副词”结构,与hand out同义。如果它的宾语是代词,则该代词只能放在give和out之间。此外,give out还有“发出(光、热等),用完”的意思。
如: The sun gives out light and heat to the earth.
太阳向地球发出光和热。
