The 2025 Spring Festival Gala(春晚)was really special. It showed us a lot of intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产)。
At the beginning, there was a visual show(视角秀). In just one minute, we saw 16 kinds of intangible cultural heritage skills, such as iron-flower striking(打铁花)and paper-cutting. There was a skit(小品)called"Borrowing an Umbrella". It mixed four types of traditional operas, and even the umbrella in it was a piece of intangible cultural heritage. Another amazing part was the robots performing Yangge(秧歌)dance. With lively music on, the robots moved their arms and legs exactly, just like professional dancers, which shows us that traditions can stay fun and fresh.
The Gala showed over 300 kinds of intangible cultural heritage. It used new technologies to make the old culture more interesting. In this way, more people can learn about and love our traditional culture. 60. For us it is also very important to remember the value of our traditions.

A joy journal is a special place for you to record anything and everything that brings you joy—what you like, what and who you appreciate (欣赏), what makes you laugh and feel happy. It's your journal, so you can include whatever you like in it. Taking time to make a note of what's giving you joy helps you focus on that experience and draw even more happiness from it.
Chartered psychologist (心理学家) Reading says your joy journal can help you remember happier times when you're feeling a bit sad, lonely or worried. "Turning the pages can help those same feelings of joy flood back, helping you feel better. It can remind you that this moment will pass and joy will come again soon." Reading also explains, 5. "By recording your joyful moments, you can recall them whenever you need a little encouragement."
"I like drawing so I would draw pictures of me and my friends in my journal because they make me happy. My dad tells funny jokes so I could write the best ones in my journal too. I always record what makes us all happy and share them with my families too."—Tanesha, aged 9.

Plogging is a fun and environmentally-friendly activity that combines jogging with picking up rubbish. It's becoming increasingly popular because it is good for both your health and the environment. People of all ages can join in plogging, making it a great way to exercise while doing something good for the planet.
One of the main advantages of plogging is that it is a more effective (有效的) workout than regular jogging because picking up rubbish increases physical activity. At the same time, plogging helps cut down pollution. For example, plastic waste can harm animals and nature, and by picking it up, you protect wildlife and the environment.
Additionally, plogging brings people together. You can invite friends, family, or neighbors to join, turning it into a group activity. Many communities organize ploggings where groups clean up parks or streets while exercising. These activities help people have a better understanding of teamwork.
Plogging also encourages people to be responsible for protecting our Earth. Small efforts, like picking up some rubbish during a jog, can lead to amazing changes. If everyone took part, our cities would become cleaner and more pleasant.
All in all, plogging is a simple yet meaningful way to stay active and care for the environment. Next time you go jogging, bring a bag and try plogging. The memories are like a river. Every sweater she knitted (织) for me was a piece of art. Every single meal she cooked for me was so delicious. The hide-and-seek was so enjoyable and unforgettable. All the nights when my parents worked in the UK, I fell asleep with Grandma by my side. All the songs she taught me made me happy and excited.
Some of the foods she fed me were home-grown. 她相信太阳对我的健康有好处。So she often took me to the garden. The sun was shining and the birds were singing happily. I usually helped water the garden, or just chatted with her. Most of the time, she left me exploring. Sometimes she threw to me several newly-unearthed earthworms (蚯蚓), which would keep me excited for a whole day. When we were tired, she used to carry in one hand a big tomato, and held my hand with the other. "Let's go to the kitchen and the big tomato will be your lunch," she said.
She went back to her home when I was in the fifth year at primary school. "What is my grandson going to eat Maybe I should stay for another year." She repeated the same words almost every day before leaving, showing the deep worry about me.
During the ten years with me, her black hair turned grey. Returned as she has, I can still feel her around all the time. The noodles I had for breakfast, the fresh home-grown tomatoes and eggplants as well as the handmade meatballs and fish balls, all of which filled with her taste. I love my grandma most because she knows me best.
Whenever I miss my dear grandma, her picture always came up in my mind at once. Busy watering the plants in the garden, and her gray hair blown up by the soft wind. In her bee-like life, Grandma will always be there waiting for my visit and missing me.

Embroidery (刺绣) is an important traditional art form in Chinese culture. The most famous embroidery styles are Su embroidery from Suzhou, Shu embroidery from Sichuan, Xiang embroidery from Hunan and Yue embroidery from Guangdong. Shu embroidery has the longest history of all.
Since modern machines can make cheaper embroidery products today, fewer people buy handmade Shu embroidery products. There are also very few young embroiderers. The skill is endangered.
Meng Dezhi, a national-level inheritor (传承人) of the art form, has been making Shu embroidery for forty years. She used to work at the Chengdu Shat Embroidery Factory. But in 2006, the factory went broke and Meng lost her job. Wanting to save the art, Meng decided to have her own place and teach Shu embroidery to others.
It's hard work. Embroidery takes time and patience. Workers need to divide each silk thread (线) into more than ten or even thirty pieces. Each piece is thinner than a single human hair. In 2016, Baidu invited Meng to make a homepage logo for Qixil Festival. It was a small logo, but it required the use of 45 types of sewing techniques (针法) and 35*000 stitches (针).
Meng is teaching in different universities and communitiés to save Shu embroidery. She believes that Shu embroidery stands for thousands of years of Sichuan culture and should be saved.
