例:问题 “What time does the library close on weekends ” 中,关键词是 “time”“library close”“weekends”。
记叙文:关注时间线(first, then, finally)、人物关系;
说明文:关注主题句、例子(for example, such as);
例:文中 “spend two hours reading”= 问题中 “how long does she read — Two hours.”
回答问题时,首字母大写,句末加标点(如问号、句号);
补全句子时,注意时态(如文中过去式,答案也要用过去式)、单复数(名词是否加 s);
问题如果是 “why” 开头,答案常含 “because”“because of”;
问题如果是 “how” 开头,答案找方式(如 “by bus”“with friends”)。
因果关系:because, so → 前后词义相关;
转折关系:but, however → 前后词义相反;
例:文中讲 “如何养宠物狗”,标题选 “How to Keep a Pet Dog”,而不是 “Pets Are Our Friends”(太宽泛)。

You are a nature lover Then you must visit Zhangye Geopark (地质公园) in China! It’s recognized by UNESCO as one of the best geoparks in the world. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the rainbow hills.
They are low hills that look like waves and have many different colours, just like a rainbow! There is little grass growing on the land. When you see the hills from above, it’s like you’re looking at rainbows painted on the ground.
You may wonder how these colourful hills came to be. Millions of years ago, this area was under a lake. Over time, rivers brought in sand and stones with different kinds of metal elements. These were left in layers on the bottom of the lake. Some layers were red, some yellow, and others turned purple or blue. Later, as the climate became colder and drier, the lake dried up. Then, something amazing happened!
The underground land began to rise up and push against each other. The layers of sandstone were lifted higher and higher. Through years of wind, sun, and rain, they formed the colourful hills we see today.

Later, the tiger had to learn from the cat, and the cat was patient in teaching the tiger. 46.根据“Safari Bus”部分中“All day long, seven days a week (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), people can get on the Safari Bus at the front gate”可知,观光巴士的运营时间是上午10点到下午5点。故填No, they can’t.

例:问题 “What time does the library close on weekends ” 中,关键词是 “time”“library close”“weekends”。
记叙文:关注时间线(first, then, finally)、人物关系;
说明文:关注主题句、例子(for example, such as);
例:文中 “spend two hours reading”= 问题中 “how long does she read — Two hours.”
回答问题时,首字母大写,句末加标点(如问号、句号);
补全句子时,注意时态(如文中过去式,答案也要用过去式)、单复数(名词是否加 s);
问题如果是 “why” 开头,答案常含 “because”“because of”;
问题如果是 “how” 开头,答案找方式(如 “by bus”“with friends”)。
因果关系:because, so → 前后词义相关;
转折关系:but, however → 前后词义相反;
例:文中讲 “如何养宠物狗”,标题选 “How to Keep a Pet Dog”,而不是 “Pets Are Our Friends”(太宽泛)。

“Whatever you like, dear frog,” said she, “my clothes, jewels, or even my golden crown.”
“Your clothes, jewels and golden crown are not for me,” answered the frog, “but if you will love me, and let me be your companion and play-fellow, then would I dive below the water and fetch your golden ball again.”

Wheat Straw Painting (麦秆画) dates from the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Today, some people are still interested in it, and Zhang Li is one of them. She became interested in Wheat Straw Painting when she was 16 years old. In 2015, she set up her own workroom. Now, Zhang Li realizes that Wheat Straw Painting is what she wants to do for the rest of her life.
She collects lots of wheat straw in the countryside. She dries the straw in the sun and then cuts it by hand. She uses colourful straws, like red, orange, black and brown, in her art works. “They are all natural,” Zhang Li says. Different colours make her paintings beautiful.
To make Wheat Straw Painting more attractive, she had the idea of mixing it with other traditional Chinese art. So she spent two years learning Suzhou embroidery (苏绣) from some famous artists.
One of her greatest works is a bird among flowers. It took her the whole year to finish it. The bird’s smooth, shiny and colourful feathers (羽毛) are made of wheat straw, and the flowers are made of silk. “In my works, you will find paintings and embroideries mix well,” says Zhang Li.

Keeping your house tidy can also be a hard thing when dog and cat fur goes everywhere! When a pet’s fur falls out, it is called shedding (脱毛).
June to September is the most wonderful time to visit. The mornings and evenings are cooler than the hot days, giving you the perfect weather to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Sunshine after a summer rain will make the colours even brighter and more beautiful.

In China, people believe that, at the beginning, the tiger and the cat were friends, and the cat was much smarter than the tiger. The cat learnt the skills quickly, and the tiger was always behind. Day after day, month after month, finally, the tiger could also run, jump, roll (滚), grasp (抓), tear (撕碎) and strike (击) as well as the cat.
One summer afternoon, the cat was taking a rest as the tiger was sitting nearby. Looking at the cat, the tiger suddenly thought, “Why should I keep befriending such a small animal since I have already learnt all the skills from him ” The tiger decided to kill the sleeping cat as a before-dinner snack. The tiger stood up and got close to the cat. Just at this moment, the cat woke up. Opening his eyes, the smart cat realized what the tiger was trying to do.
