Dear Jack,
It’s a great honor for China to have the Spring Festival listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. I would like to share our excitement with you on this special day. We warmly welcome you to China to experience the Chinese New Year!
In my opinion, the Spring Festival is not just a celebration; it’s a time for us to reflect on the past year and look forward to new beginnings.
During the festival, people put up festive couplets and red lanterns on their doors, which symbolize good fortune, happiness, and welcoming the new year. Dragon and lion dances are believed to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits, and are very common throughout the celebration.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
