Here are some suggestions for your homework. If you want to do your homework right after school, you may eat something before getting to work. Never try to work when you are very hungry. Always do your homework before you get too tired. Don’t wait until late in the evening, or the homework will seem much harder than it really is.
Divide your time into a few parts if you have more than an hour’s work. Have a short rest every forty minutes. However, don’t divide up your time too short to do anything. You should be able to work at least half an hour at a time without stopping.
Don’t put off doing your homework until the last minutes, or you will have it on your mind and you won’t enjoy your free time. If you put off until the end of the week or even before a test, you will have too much to do. What’s more, you will have a fear of tests and can’t get a good result.
Do your homework at the same time every day. This will help you make it a habit—part of your daily work. It will make your free time more enjoyable.

Tina is talking about her year abroad as an exchange student.
When I went to Britain last year, I was a fifteen-year-old student from Brazil (巴西). It was my first time to experience a new lifestyle and culture.
I lived with a British family and went to a local school. The Browns were really kind and helpful. There are three children, fifteen-year-old twins Jane and Max, and ten-year-old Holly. Jane became my best friend. She shared her bedroom with me and we often talked for hours before falling asleep at night.
My school in Brazil is very different from the one in Britain. In Brazil, schools are big. We have a lot of students and huge areas. School buildings are all on one level. But in Britain, my classroom was on the second floor, so I had to walk up and down the stairs a lot!
Also, I wore a uniform with a tie for the first time in my life. I felt really strange at first because I wore jeans to school in Brazil. After a week, I realized my day began better when I didn’t have to think about what to wear! And everyone is equal when wearing the same—I think that’s what I like best about the uniform. Back in Brazil, young people like to look fashionable (时髦的) all the time, but it makes some students feel bad because they don’t have nice clothes. So I hope in Brazil ___________.
On my last day at school, I cried when my classmates surprised me with a present and a card that they all wrote messages on. But I feel so happy now because Jane is coming to stay with me in Brazil next month. It’s her turn to live and study in another country for a year! Hooray!

Warm memories continued to flow (涌动) freely as I stared at the house that my parents lived in for 23 years, and it was also the place where I grew up to be 18. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon. My sister and I wanted to play on the swing. Dad went to the mall near our house and returned with a swing set. He put it between the trees in our back garden. A few minutes later, we were happily swinging in the garden laughing and screaming with delight (高兴) over the boring afternoon.
Last Christmas, just when we moved to the new house a month later, I had another painting done. This is one of the new house’s. Learn to Love Yourself
Do you ever compare yourself to other people and wish you could be more like them We are all different in our own way. Self-acceptance (自我接纳) can help you feel happier and better about yourself.
What is self-acceptance
Self-acceptance means learning to accept the things that make you who you are. As well as being thankful for what you’re good at, like sports, science or singing in the school choir, self-acceptance also means valuing (重视) the parts of you that don’t shine very brightly, like being forgetful or untidy. A 12-year-old girl, Lily, says self-acceptance means “knowing your own weaknesses and strengths (强项), and accepting who you are no matter what other people say or think.”
Why is self-acceptance good for you
When you accept who you are, you worry less about things you can’t change. This makes you feel happier and more confident (自信的). The Anna Freud Centre, a charity (慈善机构) that helps young people, says everyone can feel that they have to be perfect, but that makes us forget about the little things that make us special, because we’re so busy trying to meet someone else’s standards. Learning to accept everything about yourself can also help you find what you’re really good at. For example, some people may find letters or numbers hard to read, but they might have strengths in other things, like finding good ways to work out problems.
5._________________________
Start by making a list of all the things you like about yourself. Maybe you’re good at cooking, or people find it easy to talk to you. Also, try saying kind, happy things to yourself in a mirror (镜子) every morning. Think up ways to treat yourself, such as taking a long bath, watching your favorite film, or eating delicious ice-cream. But don’t forget it’s important to eat healthy food and get enough sleep.

95.In Lily’s mind, what does self-acceptance mean

The loveliest house that I have ever lived in is Crosslands. I lived there with my grandparents when I was a child.
The house seemed so huge to me as a child. And it had a lovely living room with a piano in it. And there was a strange room. It was the drawing room. We only used it on Sundays, or when visitors came for tea. There was the best furniture (家具) in it but it was covered with sheet (布罩)—it was as if all the furniture wore clothes. We couldn’t enjoy this beautiful furniture.
I went back to the house a few weeks ago. It has changed a lot. My uncle has renovated (翻新) it, and taken away the lovely furniture. And he has pushed over (推倒) a wall so the drawing room and the living room have become one big room.
Although it becomes modern, its old style is the most beautiful in my heart. When I see the house, I know I can’t go back and have it again. But there’s still a beautiful memory.
99.How did the author feel about Crosslands when he was a child (不超过10个词)
