Eyes are very important to us and we need to take care of them. However, over 600 million people in China need to wear glasses. More than half of the students in middle schools are shortsighted. One of the reasons is their bad reading habits. And another reason is that they spend too much time on mobile phones and computers. To protect students from shortsightedness, schools need to create a healthy learning environment in the classroom. Make sure the light is not too bright or too dark. At the same time, students should learn to use eyes correctly. For example, we shouldn't stay too close to our books when we are reading. Also, it's important for each community to provide free sight tests for children and record the changes.

One morning, a foreigner came up to her and said something. But Zhang couldn't understand and didn't know how to react(回应). If you feel stressed at school, what can you do to make yourself happier? Some may eat their favorite food or listen to some music.Others may go for a walk or get some exercise.A new study found another great way to lower students' stress—playing with dogs.
Scientists studied 105 students between the ages of eight and nine.35 trained dogs and their trainers also took part in the test. The students were divided into 3 groups. The students in the first group spent 20 minutes with a dog and its trainer. They watched the trained dogs perform and even played with them. They did this twice a week for 4 weeks. The second group spent the same amount of time doing exercise to relax. The last group did neither of these things.
During this time, the scientists recorded the students' cortisol levels(皮质醇水平).Cortisol is a stress hormone(激素).The more stressed you feel, the more cortisol you will have in your body. What did the scientists find? Both the second and third groups showed rises in cortisol levels. The first group, however, showed no big increase. And the students in this group had the lowest cortisol levels right after playing with the dogs.
According to the study, students enjoy playing with dogs, and it helps them become happier. The stress hormone falls over time this way, which is good for students' health. But here comes the next question:is 20 minutes of playtime with a dog the best amount of time?Scientists are going to keep working to find out the answer.

四、读写结合(共两节,满分25分)
第一节 任务型阅读(共5小题,每小题2分,满分10分)
阅读短文,用英文填空或回答问题。(请注意每小题的词数要求)
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of the greatest works by Mark Twain. The book is so interesting. Even today, it is quite popular among kids. Although I am in my thirties, the book remains one of my favorites. After re reading the book recently, I have learned an important
lesson from Tom Sawyer.
In our daily lives, we are often given some boring or tiring tasks. What's in your mind when your mom tells you to clean the floor Have you ever wanted to complain(抱怨) without taking any action I think most people have.
Tom Sawyer, however, thought “differently” when he was given a boring task. One Saturday morning, Aunt Polly told Tom to paint the fence(篱笆). Tom's friend Ben Rogers happened to walk past. Instead of complaining, Tom told Ben that he felt “excited” about the task. “Only_one_in_a_thousand—maybe_even_two_thousand—boys_can_do_this!” Tom said.
Tom's words made Ben interested in the task.He even gave Tom his apple so that he could have a chance to paint the fence. If Tom had thought about nothing but complaining, he would have had a bad day painting the fence.
This story teaches me a valuable lesson: complaining is useless. The next time you are given a boring or tiring task, don't complain. Unlike what happens in the story of Tom Sawyer, it is unlikely that someone will come and do the work for you. However, without complaining, you'll feel better and perhaps even do a better job!
46 The passage mainly talks about __an_important_lesson_learned_from_Tom_Sawyer__ (10个词以内)
47 Most people reply to boring or tiring tasks by __complaining_about_them_without_taking_any_action__. (10个词以内)
48 The writer introduces his topic by giving an example that __Aunt_Polly_asked_Tom_to_paint_the_fence__ (10个词以内)
49 Why did Tom say the underlined sentence to Ben in Paragraph 3
__To_make_Ben_interested_in_the_task/To_catch_Ben's_interest__ (10个词以内)
50 What can you learn from Tom
__Complaining_is_useless.Without_complaining,_we'll_feel_better_and_perhaps_even_do_a_better_job(答案不唯一,言之有理即可。)__ (20个词以内)
第二节 书面表达(共1题,满分15分)

In my family, we respect each other and everyone enjoys equal rights. We often communicate with our family members to encourage and support each other.

49 Why did Tom say the underlined sentence to Ben in Paragraph 3
__To_make_Ben_interested_in_the_task/To_catch_Ben's_interest__ (10个词以内)
50 What can you learn from Tom
__Complaining_is_useless.Without_complaining,_we'll_feel_better_and_perhaps_even_do_a_better_job(答案不唯一,言之有理即可。)__ (20个词以内)
