(2025·河北石家庄·三模)In today’s digital age, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a popular tool in our daily lives, including education. Many students, especially those in junior high school, are turning to AI tools to help with their homework. While these tools can offer convenience, they also come with their own set of advantages and disadvantages.
AI does bring some advantages for students. First, AI saves time. Students can quickly find answers to difficult math problems or grammar questions. Second, AI provides learning resources. For example, some tools explain solutions step by step, helping students understand topics better. Third, AI supports personalized learning. Struggling (挣扎) students can practice repeatedly with AI feedback (反馈), while advanced learners can explore harder tasks.
However, there are also some disadvantages. Depending too much on AI can make students lazy and may stop them trying to solve problems independently. It’s not helpful to improve their thinking skills. This can hurt their learning in the long run. Another problem is that AI tools sometimes give wrong answers, especially for open-ended questions like essays. Lastly, using AI can lead to cheating. Copying AI-generated work without learning breaks trust between students and teachers.
AI can be a helpful study tool if used wisely. Students should treat it as a guide, not a replacement for their own efforts. Balancing AI assistance with active learning is key to success.

(2025·山东济南·三模)The Chinese language differs from Western languages in that, instead of an alphabet, it uses characters which stand for ideas, objects or deeds. Chinese words are formed by putting together different characters. In many cases, a single character can also make up a word. As one kind of the most ancient characters, Chinese characters have played an important role in the development of Chinese culture. At first, ancient Sumerian and ancient Egyptian symbols existed (存在), but only Chinese characters remain today. The history of the Chinese language can be examined by looking at how these characters developed.
Chinese writing began thousands of years ago. According to an ancient story, a man named Cang Jie invented Chinese writing. One winter day while he was hunting, he saw the footprints of animals in the snow and noticed that the appearance of each one was different. Then he had the idea that he could use different shapes to represent different objects. The first Chinese characters were drawings of physical objects. Some characters have been simplified (简化) and other have been made more difficult over time.
However, as a whole, the characters have developed from drawings into standard forms. The character for a mountain was at first three mountaintops together. This became one mountaintop and three lines, and over time turned into the character used nowadays.
Sometimes to express ideas, some characters were made by combining two or more characters together. For example, “rat” was made up of the characters for a man and a tree. The character “prisoner” was formed with a “man” inside a square. Other characters were developed for directions and numbers. It is easy to distinguish (区别) their meanings by looking at them, for example, the characters for “up” and “down”, which are opposites of each other.
Though these kinds of characters indicate meanings, one of their shortcomings is that they do net show how they should be pronounced. Therefore, a method was developed to have one part of a character represent the meaning and the other suggest the pronunciation. Many Chinese characters used today were made this way.
In the 1950s the Chinese government introduced simplified Chinese characters in the hope to make learning to read and write more understandable to the general population, which would increase literacy (读写能力) across the country. And now they have widespread use in China’s mainland.

(2025·江西吉安·模拟预测)In December 2023, history was made by Boeing 787 crossing the Atlantic Ocean using a new kind of fuel (燃料). This fuel is made from leftover, cooking fats, including fats from animals. This kind of fuel is good for the environment and is called biofuels (生物燃料).
Airlines are starting to use this greener fuel to depend less on fossil fuels (化石燃料) for many reasons. It cuts down air pollution and is good for our planet since it breaks down naturally. The US Department of Energy says that the eco-friendly (环保的) fuel can cut down greenhouse gas emission (排放) by 70%, helping to fight against global warming. Biofuels are also safer than common fuels if they get into the environment. They have a higher flashpoint, making them safer to handle, store, and move.
However, △ . A key problem is the large amount of materials required for biofuel production, which often leads to the “food vs fuel” argument. For example, every year, about 70 billion animals are killed, mostly for people to eat, but if we wanted to fuel a flight from New York to Paris using only pig fat, we would need about 8,800 pigs. Unluckily, only increasing animal farming to meet this need would require even more resources (资源). Besides, the production of biofuels can lead to a rise in global food prices, probably causing hunger. In the worst case, food prices can rise to a point where millions of people may no longer be able to afford basic food, which may even lead to the death of many people in poor areas.
In fact, biofuels are already in use worldwide and the rapid growth of biofuel production is likely to continue. However, finding the proper balance and way to grow biofuels to meet different needs at the same time will remain a matter of research.
21.How does the writer lead into the topic of the passage
A.By telling a story. B.By listing numbers.
C.By making a survey. D.By giving an example.
22.What can we learn about biofuels Check and choose the right answer.
①They can increase greenhouse gas emission. ②Common fuels are safer than them.
③They are good for the environment. ④Fats from animals can be made into them.
⑤The global food prices may rise because of them.
A.①②④ B.②③⑤ C.②③④ D.③④⑤
23.Which of the following can be put in △
A.there are disadvantages we cannot overlook B.biofuels’ popularity is not clear
C.biofuels are not widely used in the world D.it is hard to produce biofuels
24.What’s the writer’s attitude (态度) towards biofuels
A.Uncertain. B.Uninterested. C.Supportive. D.Worried.
25.What would be the best structure of the passage
A. B. C. D.
(2025·广东深圳·三模)Have you ever heard of upcycling It is a way of turning old or unnecessary things into something useful and often beautiful.
Is it the same as recycling Recycling usually takes old things, like paper and glass, and breaks them down to make a new product. When you upcycle an object, you are probably doing something different. You can simply refashion it. For example, you might make a bag out of an old T-shirt. Also, the upcycled object is usually in the same, or even better condition.
Upcycling isn’t a new idea. Some of the best examples of modern-day upcycling come from the old times. In those days, things were reused over and over until they were no longer useful. Upcycling is a way of life. Things shouldn’t be just thrown away when they can be saved and turned into something useful.
It’s clear that upcycling is green. It is also considered to be more environmentally friendly than recycling. Upcycling can just require your own ideas and work, but recycling requires energy or water to break down things.
Grace, a young woman from the UK, takes used tea bags and turns them into dresses, shoes and even hats. Every day she drinks some tea, then dries out the tea bags with the tea still in them. When they’ re dry, she takes the tea out and puts the bags together to make an item of clothing. This can take a long time, but Grace has made lots of artworks.
In fact, no matter you create objects from old things or buy ready-made products from upcycled things, both ways are helpful for the environment and can bring you something that’s both beautiful and useful. Get started today!

(2025·湖北武汉·模拟预测)Many cultures have stories of talking trees that give advice as well as warnings to people. Alexander the Great and Marco Polo were said to have visited such a tree in India. And in some modern stories, such as the film Avatar, trees can communicate with animals and people. With our long believing that talking plants are unreal, new research has found something amazing: It turns out that plants can really communicate.
It has been known that plants use chemicals (化学物) to communicate with each other: This happens when a plant, say a bean plant, gets attacked (袭击) by insects. The plant gives off chemicals from the leaves that are being eaten. This is like a warning, or a call for help, “I’m being attacked!” When another bean plant feels the chemicals from its poor neighbor, it starts to give off its own, different chemicals. Some of these chemicals drive insects away. Others attract (吸引) insects—the wasps (黄蜂)! The wasps kill the insects that are eating the bean plant. Scientists hope to learn more about this plant warning system, so that we can use it to grow crops in a more scientific way.
More surprisingly, plants also use sounds to communicate. People can’t hear these sounds, but plants are making them. Some plants make noises with their roots. Corn and chili plants do this. They also “listen” to the noises from other plants. A chili plant can tell if a neighboring plant is helpful, or unfriendly. Some trees make clicking noises when there is not enough water.
Most surprisingly of all, plants have an amazing system of communication that can link nearly every plant in a forest. Scientists call this system “wood wide web”. It is in some ways like the Internet we use. This wood wide web is linked underground by fungi (真菌). Using this wood wide web, ★ . However, it may lead to bad effects. If you’re looking for a fun and easy science experiment to do at home or in the classroom, the dancing paper experiment is perfect! It’s a great way to learn about static electricity (静电) and how it works. It’s not only simple, but also really fantastic!
To do the experiment, you’ll need a balloon, paper scraps and a plate.
Instructions:
Step 1 Prepare the Balloon
Before you begin, you’d better pick a balloon that can inflate as easily as possible. Then inflate the balloon to a proper size and tie the end. Make sure the balloon won’t break out.
Step 2 Place the paper scraps
Cut or tear the paper into small scraps. If they are too big, it may be difficult for the balloon to attract them. Then place the paper scraps on a plate. Try to let the paper scraps spread evenly so that you can clearly see the balloon attract the paper scraps.
Step 3 Rub (摩擦) the balloon
Make sure your hair is dry. Rub the balloon against your hair again and again. As you keep rubbing, you will gradually feel the resistance (阻力) increasing. This means that static electricity is appearing.
Step 4 See the result
Place the balloon above the paper scraps quickly. Make sure the balloon is close to the paper scraps and move the balloon slowly. You’ll see some paper scraps directly stick to the surface of the balloon, and some will jump up and down in the air below the balloon.
Why do the paper scraps dance in the air That’s because there are more positive (+) or negative (-) charges (电荷) on its surface than normal. The negative charges attract the positive charges in the paper scraps, making them dance towards the balloon.
Is the experiment easy and fun If you have long hair, try this with your friends. Rub the balloon against your hair, then hold it near your friends’ hair without touching it. Their hair will stand up!
46.What do you need for the experiment
