I. Material analysis
本课是第六单元第一话题的第二课时。本课的主要活动是1a和2。结合英语课堂词汇教学研究课题,课前将新单词音形义同步呈现,并通过简笔画教学实物名词,一物异位情境教学方位介词,课中贯彻遣词造句法,同时结合句型操练、两两对话、看图说话等活动进一步学习there be句型单复数形式、特殊疑问句、一般疑问句及其肯定和否定回答。并创设Maria参观Jane的书房的情景呈现出书房主要摆设的词汇和有关方位的表达,还将通过熟悉例句后根据内容和示例编写对话的方式进一步练习和巩固表示方位关系的重要词汇,最后通过短文综合填空检测所学知识,达到语篇输出的目的。根据本班学生的实际认知情况,预设将Section B中的1C和Part 3做为作业预习和巩固,放在下一节课学习。

(1) 认知下列词汇和短语并在实际的对话操练中加以应用:

(2) 能够正确使用there be句型的单复数形式、特殊疑问句、一般疑问句及其肯定和否定回答;
(3) 能正确使用方位介词或介词短语:on, in, behind, near, under,in front of, in the front of等。

(2)能就房间、室内摆设进行简单的交流;
(3)能正确朗读对话,注意语音语调和单词重音;

VI. Teaching procedures
Step 1. Greetings
Get students ready for learning.
Step 2. Lead-in.
Learn and master the new words in this section by drawing some pictures and showing some objects.
Use the pictures to help the students study “there be” structure.
Step 3. Presentation
Put some objects on the desk to make dialogues.
Look at the pictures in 2. Answer the teacher’s questions to learn some new words and phrases, in front of, guitar, window etc. Then ask and answer questions about the other pictures in 2 in pairs. After that, some pairs act out the conversations.
Do 1a. Look at the picture in 1a. Answer the question, “What’s in the study?” Predict the conversation in 1a.
Read the statements in 1b. Then listen to 1a and mark True or False individually. After that, check the answers with your partner. Finally, choose the best answers by listening to the tape the second time and read together.
Step 4 Practice
According to 1a, fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
Step 5 Sum up
Sum up the key points in this Section.Make the students master the “there be” structure.
Step 6 Assign the homework
1. Recite the words and practice the conversations in 1a with your partner;
2. Go on writing your ideal room. Make up a new conversation about it. Finish 1c and report it next day.
3. Listen to Part 3 and fill in the blanks.
Teaching reflection:
在本课中,学生通过结合简笔画教学单词、造句、师生问答、小组合作等活动,并配合以导纲预习,随堂练习巩固,学习并反复操练了关于there be句型的表达法及其提问:“What’s ...?”。在这节课中,明显发现学生对于方位介词in front of和in the front of容易混淆,导致错误使用。对于There be句型的各种形式掌握尚待继续加强。因此,教师应多创设真实的情景,比如运用图片,或者结合身边真实的语言环境,引导学生直观地感受这个句型和不同的方位介词使用。从而真正达到教学目的。
