反身代词
一、概念
反身代词通常与句中所指代的词形成互指关系,和它所指代的词在人称、性别和数方面都要保持一致。反身代词表示反射或强调,常意为“……自己;……本人”。在中通常作宾语、主语或宾语的同位语,也可作表语,一般不能单独作主语。

三、用法
1. 作动词的宾语
常跟动词后构成固定搭配

2. 作介词的宾语
常与介词 to、by、of、for 等连用

表示强调,意为“亲自;本身;本人”,位于名词或代词之后

反身代词作主语的同位语时,也可放在句末

4. 作表语
通常位于系动词 be、look、feel、seem等词之后,用来描述一种感觉、情绪或状态

5. 常与介词 by 连用,表示独立完成某件事
I made the cake by myself.

① 反身代词不能单独作主语,但是可以作主语的同位语

French(1)名词,意为“法语”

(2)还可作形容词,意为“法国的;法国人的;法语的”

(3)“法国人”的表达有两种:
① the French,常用复数,表示法国人群体或统称
② Frenchman,强调个体,复数形式 Frenchmen

break(1)动词,意为“违犯;背弃;(使)破;弄坏;弄破;稍停”

2. Drivers should always tell themselves never to break the traffic rules.
(2)break还可作名词,意为“休息”,和 rest同义。have/take a break 意为“休息一下”,可与have/take a rest互换
