For thousands of years, humans have been looking up at the night sky. 1 Today, we know about the orbits (轨道) of stars. You may also have heard about the “unlucky” moment of the stars—retrograde (逆行).
What is retrograde 2 All the planets in our solar system (太阳系) travel around Sun. From Earth, we can find out the orbits of the other planets. Usually, they appear to move in the same direction. If you record their orbits night after night, however, you’ll find that they sometimes seem to go backwards in their orbits. This is called retrograde.
Why are the planets going backwards
3 Those closest to Sun travels faster than those farther out. When a planet completes its orbit once, a year has passed on that planet. For example, one year is 88 Earth days on Mercury (水星) and 687 on Mars (火星).
For this reason, some planets will lap (领先一圈或数圈) others from time to time. Those faster-moving planets will pass their slower-moving neighbors. Mercury, for example, laps Earth about three times a year. And Earth laps Mars every two years.
When the Earth and another planet pass each other, an optical illusion (视错觉) is created. From Earth, it looks like that the other planet changes direction. 4
What else about space are you interested in Let’s learn more about our stars and the sky!
A.It has to do with the way the planets move.
B.The planets seem tired of their same old orbits.

Wake up naturally
Waking up to a ringing alarm is never fun. Studies show that when you get shocked by the alarm, your breathing will go up, your heart will have more beats and your blood pressure will rise.
“This is a very unhappy way to start the day,” sleep scientist Whitney Roban said. “You’ll feel worse if you go back to sleep a few more minutes. It’s important to follow your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle (循环).”
So what should we do Try to use an alarm with softer and lower sounds. Or leave a crack (缝隙) in the curtains (窗帘)—the rising sun will wake you up.
Sleep early and get up early
Some young people may go to bed late and get up late, such as sleeping from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. They think as long as they have eight hours of sleep, everything will be fine.
But in fact, our bodies can tell time. They use light and temperature to do so. If we wake up too late, our bodies might feel stuck between sleep and being awake. That’s why sometimes we feel even more tired after oversleeping.
18.According to studies, what will happen to your body if an alarm wakes you up suddenly
A. Your heart will beat faster.
B. You may breathe more slowly.

When Xiong Chuanfa, 34, blows a lifelike tiger out of sugar in just minutes, kids look at him in surprise, thinking he is a magician.
Xiong has been blowing sugar figurines (吹糖人) for twenty years. Blowing sugar figurines is a traditional Chinese folk art with a history of over 600 years and has been listed as a state-level intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产).
Every morning, Xiong prepares the sugar and drives to different markets in Nanchang to start this magic show.
He heats the sugar, pulls off a little to make a ball and blows it into different shapes—a rabbit, a monkey, and even Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
However busy he is, he often spares time to drop by colleges to make young people know more about the folk art. Many college students have been drawn (吸引) to the art. Simon, a foreign student, found it troublesome to make it. Thanks to Xiong’s help, Simon finally saw a horse slowly taking shape.
Simon was deeply moved after learning about the art. “I just can’t believe the traditional folk art can be kept so well here. I love it. Chinese culture should be spread around the world,” he said.

Dear schoolmates,
Good morning! I’m glad to make a speech here.
Now more and more people are interested in travelling. I think trip is an opportunity for us to experience life and increase knowledge. At the same time, it can also broaden our horizon.
Last Wednesday, we went on a trip to Zhongxiang. Zhongxiang is a modern and tidy city, where there are many places of interest. It was a fine warm day. In the morning, we played in Mochou Village. During play, we met an Australian. He was kind and patient. We had fun practising speaking English. In the afternoon, we went to the Obvious Mausoleum. It was a great day.
I think if we want to attract more tourists, we should provide better service for tourists.
That’s all. Thank you!
