教材分析
本单元以友谊为话题,通过故事说明友谊的重要性、如何建立和维持友谊等。文章还谈到班级同学间的友谊、不同国度间人们之间的友谊。友谊是一个永恒的话题,培养友谊也是教育的目标之一,我们应该很好地利用这个话题开展各种教学活动。
本单元课文讲述了一个甜美的微笑改变了作者的生活的感人的故事,说明了友谊的重要性。作者没有采用议论文的方式从各个角度论述友谊的重要性,而是选择了记叙文的形式,讲述自己的经历。这种方式能够使读者对于友谊的重要性有更深刻的理解。
课文以“when I was thirteen years old ,A girl gave me an important gift. ”开头,吸引读者的注意,激发读者阅读的欲望。接下来作者又用了一句短句“It was a smile.”直指文章的主题。接着,作者按照时间的顺序讲述了一个微笑改变生活的故事。作者用对比的手法,通过描述自己行为的变化来体现微笑的对自己的影响,最后得出结论并提出建议。
教学目标
1、语言知识目标:掌握本节课的重点单词与短语:silence, pass, bright ,treasure, trust, include等单词和day by day, in silence等短语。
2、语言技能目标:
(1)、阅读课文并完成阅读任务,培养略读(skimming) 和细读(scanning)的能力
(2)、能够理解作者通过故事传达的信息并能掌握故事的写作方式,表达自己对朋友、友谊等的看法。
3、情感目标:积极参与,全身心投入,享受学习的快乐,做最棒的自己;并培养学生关爱他人、珍惜友谊,建立同学老师间良好的关系。

课后反思
这堂课以新的课程理念为指导,充分考虑了学生的年龄特点,在本课的教学设计和组织上注重了以下几个方面:1、利用播放歌曲“朋友”营造氛围!学生跟着大声唱出来,与学生的喜好产生了共鸣,充分调动了学生对本堂课的学习兴趣和积极性,利用谈谈你的好朋友导入的新课,这一环节中,能够积极参与、畅所欲言,活跃了学生的思维,由礼物引起这节课的故事主题:“一个美丽的微笑”为后面的成功学习奠定了很好的基础。 2、采用略读---细读的方式进行本故事的阅读。3、另一环节是Post reading,这一环节让学生分享自己和好朋友的故事,学生积极性很高,畅所欲言,其中一个学生的好朋友恰好在本班里,建议给予好朋友一拥抱,以表达自己的感谢,学生情感得到进一步的升华,紧接着播放一首配乐诗歌“ A Forever Friend”,通过欣赏配乐诗歌“永远的朋友”,使学生的情感达到极致!教师接着说Please cherish your friends!学生意犹未尽,盼望着下节英语课的到来,收到了较理想的教学效果。充分调动了学生的参与热情。既达到学以致用的目的,又使学生情感升华。本堂课很好地体现了以学生为主体,教师为主导的新课程理念。
不足之处:
本节课活动较多, 应注意把握好活动时间, 保证各项活动顺利完成。
2. 衔接不够自然,处理不够灵活,个别学生活动不是很到位。
在以后的教学活动中还需要老师进一步探索、研究,力争寻找到更适合学生的更完善的教学方法。
