主要采取的教学方法:通过学生表演问路的对话, 创设情景,引入主题,配合小组讨论交流,采用启发式教学启发学生主动学习。
教材分析:本节课上的是人教课标版必修1 Unit 2 English around the world的阅读课The road to modern English。本节课的中心话题是“English language and its development, different kinds of English”。通过对英语语言的发展历史这一话题的探讨,加强学生对英语语言的了解,特别是对英语发展趋势的了解。世界在发展,时代在前进,语言作为交流的工具,也随着时代的发展而变化。由于英语在世界上的广泛使用,它不断地吸收、交融、创新,这就形成了各种各样带有国家、民族、地区特色的英语,没有人们认为的那种唯一的标准英语。通过本课的学习要让学生了解英国英语、美国英语、澳大利亚英语、印度英语、新加坡英语等都有自己的惯用法和不同的发音规律。在完成本节课的学习后,学生能感受到英语语言的多层次和多元化,有助于培养学生的跨文化意
教学目标:
(一).知识目标:
1.本单元的中心话题是“世界上的英语”,通过对这一话题的探讨加强对英语语言的了解,对当代语言特别是英语发展趋势的了解。
2.这一单元课文中出现长难句。重点是分词短语作定语。例如
(1)The English spoken in England between about AD450 and 1150 was very different from the English spoken today.
(2)Today the number of people learning English in China is increasing rapidly.
通过分析,教会学生如何分析长难句。
3. 通过阅读教学,理解课文中的词汇,单词放在课文中理解会变的更容易。
(二). 能力目标:培养学生的各项阅读理解能力。
(1) 抓主旨大意以及段落大意的能力。如:What’s the main idea of the text?
(2) 细节理解能力。如:Make a timeline of the development of English, using the passage to help you. and Read the text and decide whether the statements are true (T) or false (F).
(3).词意猜测能力。如: 根据文章和句意用英语解释画线部分。

(三).情感目标:
让学生通过阅读获取有关英语语言发展的知识,扩大国际视野,强化文化意识,激发他们学习英语的热情。同时,通过欣赏英文歌曲country road take me home来培养学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生的情感。
三:教学重点与难点:
培养学生如何抓主旨大意和段落大意的能力。
运用阅读策略培养学生的其他的阅读理解能力。
帮助学生学会分析长难句。
四、教学方法:1. 情景交际法。课堂教学以情景交际教学法为主,尽量给学生足够的听、说、读的机会,联系课文实际,创设情景,引入讨论主题,让学生在交际中学英语。情景的设计注意衔接的自然性,主题的设计强调知识的渐进性和讨论的可行性,并注意德育和发散性思维的培养。2. 任务型语言教学法。任务型语言教学理论认为:人们使用语言的过程就是一个完成各种各样任务的过程。在本课教学中,我将依据课程的总体目标并结合教学内容,创造性地设计贴近学生实际的任务活动,吸引和组织他们积极参与,使学生通过思考、讨论、交流和合作等方式,在一种自然、真实或模拟真实的情境中体会语言、 掌握语言的应用。3. 启发式教学法。创设情景,引入主题,配合小组讨论交流,采用启发式教学启发学生主动学习。五、教学过程:
