初一学生已有了一定的英语基础,针对谈论对动物的喜好,多数学生口语表达方面能力可以,基本上能完成本节课教学任务。但是对于描述动物的几个形容词,让他们抓住听力关键信息并写下来,稍有点难度。对于重点句型:A: What animals do you like ? B: I like … A: Why? B: Because they’re…
A: What animal does he/ she like? B: He/She likes … 要让学生能熟练掌握应该有一定的难度,因此,要在此句型上花一定的时间,采用多种教学手段,做重点操练。

本堂课通过Guessing game游戏复习巩固以前所学内容,导入新授内容:用形容词描述动物,并表达自己对它们的喜好的句型。通过精心的情景设置,歌曲导入,游戏复习,图片教学,听力训练,对话练习等,既激发了学生学习的兴趣,又自然导入了对动物的复习,由动物的复习到形容词描绘动物,再到听力的训练和书写练习,环环相扣。自然地引出句型A: What animals do you like ? B: I like … A: Why? B: Because they’re…的并开展了各种训练活动,突出了重点,解决了难点。听力训练集中进行,使学生能专心听取信息,完成听力要求。整体师生配合较好,充分体现了教师为主导,学生为主体的教学模式;活动丰富多样,体现合作学习的特色,符合初一学生的学习特点和学习语言的规律。但由于时间分配不太合理,巩固提高环节可能完成得略显仓促,请理解见谅!

Step 1 Lead- in
1. Greetings。
2. Listen to the song together: 《In the zoo》.
3. The teacher asks: Do you like animals? Now let’s play a guessing game. Try to guess : What animals are they? Show some pictures. Have the students guess one by one.
Step 2 Presentation
Show some pictures of animals, ask: What do you think of the … ? It’s scary...
Have the students to describe the animals with different adjectives. They can give different answers to these seven pictures. Introduce the adjectives:smart, friendly, beautiful, cute, lazy, scary, shy.etc.
Step 2 1a
Have the students look at 1a, read the instructions to the students.
Ask the students to match the words with the animals.
Try to check the answers one by one.
Step 3 Practice
First, the teacher asks one student to make a conversation with her as a model.
Then, have the students practice talking with their partner for a few minutes.
Ask some pairs to act out their dialogues in class.
Step 4 Listening Test (1b-1c)
1. Have the students look at 1b, play the recording and have the students circle the description words they hear. Check the answers.
2. Go on listening and try to fill in the chart in 1c. Ask two students to answer.
