Are you looking for some movies You’ve landed on the right place. Let’s take a look at the list I’ve collected.
A Beautiful Mind
A Beautiful Mind is the story of John Nash, a mathematician who went on to win the Nobel Prize for his Game Theory. This movie brings his whole journey on screen — from his beginning to his downhill ride.
The first half is all about his rise to fame while the second half shows how he slowly falls into madness. After many years of fighting, he finally is victorious.
I.Q.
The story is about an auto mechanic who falls for Albert Einstein’s niece. The only problem is that she is engaged (已订婚的) to someone else. Fortunately, Einstein likes him. The young man pretends to be a physicist to run after her, but things don’t go as he has planned.
If A Beautiful Mind was a little too heavy for you, I.Q. would be the perfect fit. It’s a light drama that is funny and heartwarming for the most part.
Good Will Hunting
Good Will Hunting is a touching tale of a troubled young man called Will Hunting who is gifted with a natural talent in mathematics.
However, he is struggling to find his identity. He can solve any math problem, but not the one he seems to be struggling with in his life. His life seems to be getting only worse until one day he meets Sean, a therapist, who helps him find direction in life.
Creation
Creation is a story of a famous scientist, Charles Darwin, best known for his Theory of Evolution. This movie attempts to bring his struggling days into focus, the time when he was dealing with the loss of his daughter and was suffering from hallucinations (幻觉). The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco ,California is one of the world's most beautiful bridges. It is also one of the most visited places in the world. More than 1800 hundred million vehicles have used the bridge since it opened more than 70 years ago.
The bridge was painted “International Orange” because that color went well with the natural surroundings. The color also is easier to see in the heavy fog that often covers the area. But the Golden Gate Bridge was not named for its orange color. It was named for the body of water that it crosses, the Golden Gate Strait, which is the entrance to the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean
Planning for the bridge began in the 1920s when the area around San Francisco was growing. People living in the area needed another way to get to the city besides small ferries. Joseph Strauss was the chief engineer for the project. Work began in 1934.Mr.Strauss demanded the strongest safety protections in the history of bridge building. These included the first use of “hard hats” to protect the workers' heads and special glasses to protect their eyes. A special safety net was suspended under the bridge. This net saved the lives of 19 men during the construction.
The Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937.It extends 1280 meters across the water. The total length is 2737 meters. It was the largest suspension bridge(吊桥)in the world until 1964.That is when the Verrazano Narrows Bridge opened in New York City. There’s no doubt that football is the global sport. Though basketball, tennis, and other sports are popular too, nothing comes close to football. Being played in every country in the world, football provides dozens of superstars. The numbers are greater when compared to any other sport, and this drives the popularity of football up. Have you ever wondered when the sport started and became popular
Football has its origin (起 源 ) in China and has a history of more than 2,000 years. However, modern football originally appeared in Britain in the 19th century. Folk football matches had been played before in many cities and towns, but never on a professional level.
Football became a winter sport game played in different schools. The rules were carried out by each school, and this made it difficult for players to play an official game with each other. It all changed in 1849 at the University of Cambridge that invented a set of standard rules known as the Cambridge rules of football. From that moment, a new star sport was born.
By the early 20th century, football had spread all across Europe. In 1904, FIFA was set up. There are seven original members, including France, Denmark and Spain, FIFA became the governing body for many associations in Europe.
England’s international success improved the popularity of the sport in the country. The league (联赛) in Britain was set up in 1992. From the 1990s, it became a truly impressive piece of football organization, becoming the world’s top football league in the process.
Football is obviously the most popular sport in the world. It is impossible for any other sport to take its place, especially with leagues spending billions of pounds every year to stay in the focus.

The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday proposed maximum limits for the amount of lead (铅) in baby foods, after years of studies revealed that many processed products contained levels known to pose a risk to baby health.
“This is really important progress for babies,” said Scott Faber, vice president of public affairs for the Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit organization that had advised the agency (机构) to take action to remove metals from foods. “We were thankful that F.D .A .has made reducing poisonous metals in baby food a priority (优先事项).”
The new limits, aimed at foods for children under 2, do not deal with grain-based snacks that have also been found to contain high levels of heavy metals. And they do not limit other metals, like cadmium, which the agency and many consumer groups have found in baby foods in previous years.
Jane Houlihan, research director for Healthy Babies Bright Futures, a nonprofit, called the guidelines disappointing. “It doesn’t go far enough to protect babies from neurodevelopmental (神经发育的) damage from lead exposures,” she said. “Lead is in almost every baby food we’ve tested, and the action levels that F.D .A .has set will influence almost none of that food.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said there is no safe level of lead for children, who more readily absorb the heavy metal.
The agency estimated that the proposed levels could reduce the dietary (饮食的) exposure to lead for some young children by about 25 percent. However, according to the F.D .A ., even low levels of lead exposure in children can lead to “learning disabilities, behavior difficulties and lowered I.Q” .
Lead is everywhere in the environment from decades of uncontrolled use in gasoline for cars, farm machinery, aircraft and paint, said Tracey Woodruff, a scientist at the University of California.
Mr. Faber said the new guideline would cause food companies to encourage suppliers to change their farming practices to reduce the lead levels in food. “I think that past history has shown that farmers and food companies are very quickly able to change how they grow and process these ingredients to meet tougher standards,” he said.
12 .What is the main idea of paragraph 3
A .The purposes of the guidelines. B .The benefits of the guidelines.
C .The disadvantages of the guidelines. D .The functions of the guidelines.
13 .Why does the guideline disappoint Jane Houlihan
A .It aims at all kinds of poisonous metals.
B .It only focuses on reducing the amount of lead. C .It fails to protect children from lead exposures.
D .It encourages farmers to deal with snacks with heavy metals.
14 .Which of the following best describes Mr. Faber’s attitude towards the guideline
A .Positive. B .Negative. C .Cautious. D .Unclear.
15 .What change may the guideline bring directly according to the last paragraph
A .The way of farming. B .The lifestyle of the farmers.
C .The supplies of food. D .The management of the food companies.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe, and went in to grab a bite to eat. It was a dingy (昏暗的) looking restaurant. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain (压力)
