【答案】17. C 18. C 19. A 20. C
【原文】“The average person spends between eight and ten hours on average in bed every night, so it’s important to spend some time getting your bedroom environment right!” Hayley Worley, founder of Sheet Society, knows a thing or two about getting a good night’s sleep. And she believes that your bedroom plays a huge role in the length and quality of your sleep. So what can boost our beauty sleep in the bedroom First, with the right styling, blankets can bring warmth and softness to your bedroom. Position a small blanket at the foot of your bed to create visual balance and a sense of cosiness around the space where you rest and sleep. Second, for a deep sleep, we’re turning to soft and silky bamboo bedding.
Third, add a new step to your “wind down” routine with a hot cup of herbal tea. Fourth, color plays an important part in calming you down, so pick a color or combination that suits your personal style. Last but not least, the right lighting is the key to relaxation. In the evenings, it helps to switch off any main lights and use softer, warm lighting to light your home. Style your bedside with a low-lit table lamp, as darker light is proven to be helpful for sleep.

In the late 1940s, it was common to see young students practicing table tennis on a chalk-drawn table on the sidewalk at night. As a second-grader in a primary school, I began my journey with table tennis on such a table. Later, I became a player and then a coach of a national team, watching generations of players contribute to the success of table tennis.
Recently, at the age of 84, I received a national honorary title. I said, “Choosing to play table tennis is a decision I totally do not regret.”
During times when we didn’t have much, I even made my own bat (球拍). I would buy old photo frames made of plywood (胶合板) from stores, and then turn them into bases of bats, I would then attach rubber (橡胶) to make a simple bat. I recalled, “The ‘clang’ sound of hitting the ball with such a bat was very satisfying.
I formed a team called Red Flag at school. During holidays, we played friendly matches with ping-pong fans from nearby factories and schools. I often visited different places, where I could watch high-level players and learn from them.
In a competition held in 1961, I won third place in the men’s table tennis singles event. I also won the first-ever men’s doubles and mixed doubles championships for our team. In 1975, I became the head coach of the women’s table tennis team in my country. Under my guidance, the team always won the women’s singles title in competitions.
One of the outstanding athletes I discovered and trained became an extremely good table tennis player. Though she was short, she could see every ball coming her way as an opportunity. This allowed her to launch (发起) more attacks than others. Moreover, she had a strong desire to win and trained very hard.
24. What inspired the author to begin playing table tennis
A. His love for making rubber bats.
B. International competitions on TV
C. Encouragement from his school coach and friends.
D. The sights of students playing on chalk-drawn tables.
25. What challenge did the author face when playing table tennis in his early days
A. Poor lighting conditions. B. Limited access to equipment.
C. Difficulty of finding partners. D. Long distance between his home and tables.
26. What do we know about the author according to the last three paragraphs
A. He introduced table tennis as an Olympic sport. B. He won his best honour in his seventies.
C. He trained the women’s team for his country. D. He led the men’s team to get many world titles.
27. What is the best title for the text
A. The Art of Making a Bat. B. My Journey with Table Tennis
C. The Comment on a Table Tennis Champion D. My Process of Shaping the Future of Table Tennis

Music can make us feel all sorts of different emotions. There might be a certain song that reminds you of a time in your life — a particular day or moment. Maybe it’s the song that was playing when you met your partner, or when you last saw your best friend. But according to new research, music may be able to do more than just bring back memories — it could even affect the way we remember the past.
Researchers in the US did an experiment in which participants (参与者) were asked to memorize a number of short stories that were described as “emotionally neutral (中立).” A day later, the participants were asked to think about these stories while listening to positive music, negative music or silence. They also had MRI scans to measure their brain activity while listening and thinking about the stories. Then the next day, they were asked to recall (回忆) the stories without listening to any music.
The researchers found that when people were thinking about the stories and listening to emotional music, they were more likely to put new “emotional elements” into the story that matched the music. For example, if they were listening to positive music when recalling the story, they were more likely to remember the story in a positive way, even when they recalled the story later and the music was not playing. The researchers also saw increased activity in the parts of participants’ brains related to emotional memory processing while people were listening to music and thinking about the stories.
The research team said this may explain why music related to an important life event can feel so powerful when we listen to it again later. They also said the idea of using music to impact memories could be useful for helping people with things like mental health problems or emotional challenges.
28. What was the main purpose of the experiment
A. To test the effect of music on people’s life.
B. To find how music affects people’s memory.
C. To measure the brain activity of the participants.
D. To determine which type of music impacts people most.
29. What were the participants asked to do in the experiment
A. Write their own short stories.
B. Remember some short stories.
C. Listen to music and rate its emotional impact.
D. Perform mental exercises while listening to music.
30. What was the effect of emotional music on participants thinking about the stories
A. They forgot the stories completely.
B. They became less interested in the stories.
C. They added something fresh to the stories.
D. They could create more details for the stories.
31. What possible application did the researchers suggest for using music to impact memories
A. Helping people with sad feelings. B. Calling for learning among children.
C. Treating people with disabilities. D. Improving athletic performance.
【答案】28. B 29. B 30. C 31. A

During the 2025 Spring Festival, China’s film industry broke records with a shocking box office income of 9.51 billion yuan and 187 million moviegoers. Among the successes, Ne Zha: Demon Child Conquers the Sea (Ne Zha 2) has truly become the talk of the town.
Why is Ne Zha 2 so popular Some say it’s due to its content, well-developed characters, and the modern adaptation of a traditional story that deeply connects with the audience. Others believe its success is due to the high-quality “report card” produced by the increasing Chinese film industry, with a production chain built by numerous animation (动画) companies in our country. From modeling to action design and lighting and special effects, every picture of the film gathers the strengths of many.
From the Inwestiture of the Gods (封神演义) to “our friend, little Ne Zha,” to “My fate is decided by myself, not the Gods,” and “If there’s no road ahead, I will make one myself,” Ne Zha’ s image has changed over time, yet remains deeply rooted in the soil of Chinese culture. Recently, Ne Zha 2 has received congratulations from industry “pioneers” such as the director of The Wandering Earth and strong recommendations from the CEO of the game Black Myth: Wukong. The “fantasy crossovers” of Chinese classics and technologies have been full of surprises. These developments showcase how the creative combination (结合) of Chinese traditional culture with modern technology and storytelling is quickly making its mark in the market and entering the world.
Global audiences witness Chinese filmmakers telling Chinese stories with Chinese aesthetics (美学) and values, where tradition meets with modernity, and East meets West in the appreciation of each other.
32. What is a possible reason for the popularity of Ne Zha 2
A. The record-breaking box office income.
B. The quality adaptation and well-developed figures.
C. The “report card” produced by global film industry.
D. The large number of moviegoers attracted by the film.
