Dear Jenny,
Welcome to Yancheng! I’m really glad to host a special dinner for you this summer. Now
I’ve decided to cook at home.
Cooking at home gives me the chance to prepare exactly what we like, whether it’s boiling
noodles or frying steak. More importantly, a homemade meal creates a cozy atmosphere where
we can relax, chat freely, and enjoy each other’s company. For me, cooking is also a way to
show my hospitality. I believe that nothing beats a home-cooked meal.

I was especially nervous this time as it was my first test.When I opened the book to read,
I kept in mind all the tips my reading buddy had taught me, including putting emphasis on words,
especially the -ed in past tense verbs. Then I answered the questions smoothly and ended the
reading test. After the test, the teacher told me I seemed more confident reading aloud this time. I
was officially promoted to a new reading level, unlocking a wider selection of books I could
read.
During my last year at primary school, I decided to join the program again as a helper.
I remembered how much the program had encouraged me and hoped to do the same for younger
students. The first time I met with my assigned student, I noticed how shy and hesitant she was,
and I saw my younger self in her. I tried my best to encourage her, to be the welcoming and
attentive listener my younger self would have opened up to. I felt proud watching her grow. And
I felt glad that I passed it on.

The only thing stopping me giving it five stars is how clean it was. If there were a separate
mark for that, I’d definitely only give it three. But considering all the other factors, I think
four is fair.

Before you take a look around, let me tell you about some of the things we have here for
you.
Here in the Entrance Hall, you can see some wonderful paintings of flowers and plants from
all over the world. Upstairs on the left, is our famous animal show. You can see the models
of our favourite dinosaurs and animals such as the Dodo. On the right, there is a small
theatre where you can watch a film about what our planet looked like millions of years ago.
The film lasts 45 minutes and it starts at the beginning of each hour. I advise all of you to
watch it.
And don’t forget to visit our shop before you leave. There are some wonderful models of
animals and you can buy T-shirts, postcards and lots more! You can also buy a guidebook in
the shop and that costs just one pound!
We’ll close today at 5:50 pm, so you’ve got lots of time to enjoy yourselves. Let’s go!

应用文写作(满分 15分)
文章是一篇安排告知信,总共分三部分,包括(1)用餐地点选择; (2)说明理由;
(3)礼貌结束语。如三个部分都涵盖,文章段落分明,书写清楚,字数达到要求,表达
无太多错误,得分则应在 10分以上。
写作情境设定为晚餐安排,要求考生向英国朋友告知晚餐地点和说明理由。写作话题
紧密贴合学生的日常生活,与译林版牛津高中教材选择性必修一Unit 1 Grammar高度契合。
这样的写作任务不仅让考生对创作内容充满了亲切感,也使得考生能够调动在教材中所学
过的写作素材,实现五育并举。
本次应用文写作引导高中英语教学务必重视教材,切实落实课标要求,重视日常积累,
强化语言运用,实现学科核心素养的培育与达成。
【评分原则】
1. 本题总分为15分,按5个档次给分。
2. 评分时,先根据文章的内容和语言初步确定其所属档次,然后以该档次的要求衡量、
确定或调整档次,最后给分。
3. 词数少于60或多于100的,酌情扣分。
4. 评分时,应注意的主要内容为:内容要点、应用词汇和语法结构的丰富性和准确性
及上下文的连贯性。
5. 拼写与标点符号是语言准确性的一个方面,评分时,应视其对交际的影响程度予以
考虑。英美拼写及词汇用法均可接受。
