Unit2 The Olympic Games—Using Language教学设计
第一步:Leading-in
上课伊始展示四幅图片让学生欣赏,在边欣赏边引导讲解的基础上老师提问“Where are the characters from?” , 从而引出ancient Greek myths and legends, 为本节课的内容导入做好铺垫。
设计意图:为了让学生更好地了解本节课所讲的古希腊故事,教师需要激活学生的创新思维以及强烈的求知欲望。教师所展示的图片都是学生比较熟悉的,如古代奥运会的发源地——奥林匹亚、潘多拉的盒子、女神维纳斯及她的儿子丘比特。虽然古希腊神话故事非常多,但是学生耳熟能详的并不很多,所以用这几幅图片做导入,大大激发了学生的求知欲望。
第二步:Reading
Fast reading
学生快速阅读课文,提炼文章的表层信息;如理清文章的主要人物以及人物之间的逻辑关系;归纳概括文章大意(通过填空的形式降低难度要求);分析文中的两个长难句,要求学生简要分析主干然后试着译成汉语。
设计意图:通过略读初步了解文章内容,培养学生提取信息的能力。让学生概括文章大意,培养学生的从整体上把握文章的能力。分析长难句,一则培养学生的断句能力,二则帮助学生扫清阅读障碍,以利于学生更好地理解文章内容。
Careful reading
学生掌握了课文大意又无长难句障碍的基础上再仔细阅读课文,对故事内容理解会更深入和深透。学生要回答老师提出的三个问题,但是问题没有现成的答案,需要根据理解自己造句完成。第四个任务是完成老师改写的概括短文,填10个空。
设计意图:对课文进行深入的细节理解并提高综合运用与表达的能力。要在理解的基础上用自己的话语回答问题;要根据老师提示完成短文的概括。对学生提出了更高的能力要求,较好地训练了学生的语言表达能力。
第三步:Prediction
让学生各抒己见,预测故事的结局,happy ending和sad ending皆可。
设计意图:激活学生思维,激发学生对接下来的听力材料探究的兴趣。单纯预测出结果并不难,难的是学生要考虑到阅读部分提到的三个苹果的利用,而且还要用英语简要描述故事的过程。
第四步:Listening
First listening
教师展示6个句子,让学生试着进行排序。而后学生听完第一遍MP3的播放后,核对自己的预测排序并且能够概括听力部分的主要内容。
设计意图:培养学生对听力材料进行整体把握的能力和建立信息框架的能力。课本15页共有11个句子让学生进行排序,考虑到信息量太多、任务太重,所以教师设计了6个句子供学生使用。
Second listening
播放听力材料的第二、三段,让学生边听边完成短文填空。
设计意图:训练学生精听的能力,培养对文章重点词汇和短语的理解运用能力。?在学生听的基础上,教师将听力材料的原文呈现给学生,以便对所听内容有更好的理解与把握;也为下一环节的任务作好铺垫。
第五步:Discussion
学生对于整个故事理清了脉络之后,教师给他们设计思考讨论题。“Why could Hippomenes win the race?”
设计意图:让学生带着任务再浏览一遍故事的内容。教师设计的这个问题有难度,学生要从多个角度考虑才能作出全面的回答。这不仅锻炼学生的归纳概括和表达能力,而且还培养他们的合作意识。
第六步:Retelling
让学生在熟悉完整故事的基础上,在老师的指导下对整个故事进行复述。
设计意图: 复述课文是英语教学中的一种综合训练,是培养学生运用语言能力的有效手段。在进行了输入性的知识储备后再将知识输出,从而巩固所学知识、锻炼学生综合运用语言的能力。?
第七步:Homework
让学生完善下发的学案;
熟练复述故事内容,下节课跟同学分享。
设计意图:课堂上时间有限,学生水平参差不齐,部分学生的学案没有完整填写在所难免,通过完善学案内容,督促这部分学生进行课后巩固。继续复述故事内容,督促学生再熟悉课文文本,在展示的同时培养口头表达能力。
