When they tried to move the chair, John’s grandpa saw it and cried. “No! You can’t take my chair,” “But it’s so old,” John’s mom replied. “We’ll buy you a new one.” “No,” he said, trying to get his chair back.

Follow your own style, be unique
It doesn’t matter how pretty you are or what you look like. True beauty is all about what’s inside. This is what international supermodel (超模) Adriana Lima told us during an interview we did with her on Sept 19 last year in New York.
It was really a great experience to talk with Lima. We think the Brazilian model and actress is a friendly, intelligent and beautiful woman.
When we asked what she thought was going to be the next fashion trend, she surprised us by saying that every girl or woman should have her own style and do what she wants, and not follow trends.
For example, Lima told us that her favorite colors are red, black and white, no matter what the current trend is.
Although born with natural beauty, Adriana did not set out to be a supermodel. She wanted to work in the medical field (医学领域) at first.
Her modeling career started in Brazil when she was 16. A friend asked her to join a beauty contest. She went there to support her friend, but she ended up joining the contest and winning second place. This is where her career began.
At the end of the interview, Adriana happily signed an autograph (亲笔签名) for us. We felt as if she was one of our closest friends.
