Today is Sunday. I've been in Canada for two months. This is the first time that I have been① away from my family for such a long time. With the help of Katia, a roommate of mine, I've soon got used to living without my parents around. Katia, like many other Russian girls, is② nice and lively. ⑥由句中的Now可知,句子用现在进行时,表示现在正在进行的动作。
⑦由上句的next Sunday可知,此处说的是将要发生的事,用一般将来时。

一、一般现在时 
[先感知]
①(教材典句)Oh look, here comes my boy.
②(教材典句)I want to focus on my band and have a career in music when I leave school.
③The plane takes off at 8:00 this evening.

⑤Light travels faster than sound.
[会发现]
句①以here, there开头的倒装句中,用__________表示现在正发生的动作或存在的状态;
句②when引导的__________状语从句中常用一般现在时代替一般将来时;
句③一般现在时可表示按时间表将要发生的动作;
句④一般现在时表示经常发生的或习惯性动作;
句⑤一般现在时表示客观事实或普遍真理。
[明规则]
(1)表示客观事实或普遍真理(不受时态限制)时用一般现在时。
(2)表示现状、性质、状态时多用系动词或状态动词的一般现在时;表示经常发生的或习惯性的动作,多用动作动词的一般现在时,且常与always, often, usually等表示频率的时间状语连用。
(3)表示知觉、态度、感情、某种抽象的关系或概念的词(短语)常用一般现在时,如see, hear, smell, taste, feel, notice, agree, believe, like, hate, want, think, belong to, seem等。
(4)在时间状语从句和条件状语从句中常用一般现在时表示将来(主将从现)。
(5)少数用于表示起止或转移等的动词如come, go, leave, arrive, fly, return, start, begin, open, close, end, stop等常用一般现在时代替一般将来时,表示一个按规定、计划或安排要发生的动作。
(6)当be表示根据时间或事先安排肯定会出现的状态时,只用一般现在时。

二、一般过去时 
[先感知]

[会发现]
以上各句中的时态都是______________。其中,句①表示在说话之前发生的动作,句②描述的是过去发生的事,句③描述的是过去一段时间内经常发生的动作。
[明规则]
(1)表示过去的事情、动作或状态。
(2)表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作。
(3)标志词:ago, last year, just now, yesterday, the other day等。

三、一般将来时 
[先感知]
①(教材典句)If you go to university and play music at the same time, you will have two options for your future.
②(教材典句)And I'm sure playing in a band will help you make lots of new friends at university.
③A meeting is to be held at 3:00 this afternoon.
④The railway is going to be open on October 1st.
[会发现]
句①②中谓语构成形式为“will+__________”,句③为be to do,句④为be going to do。
[明规则]
(1)一般将来时表示将来某一时刻的动作或状态,或将来某一段时间内经常性的动作或状态。常和表示将来的时间状语tomorrow, next week, in the future等连用。其构成一般为“will/shall+动词原形”。
(2)位移动词及一些特殊动词,如leave,start, travel, stay等,常用进行时表示将来。
(3)一般将来时的其他构成“be going to do, be to do, be about to do”的用法及区别:
①be going to do表示说话者主观打算做某事,或客观迹象表明即将发生某事。
②be to do表示按计划、安排即将发生的动作,还可表示吩咐、命令、禁止、可能性等。
③be about to do表示“即将,正要”,不能和表示将来的时间状语或时间状语从句连用。

四、现在进行时 
[先感知]
①(教材典句)Grandfather and Father, seated at the table, are playing chess.
②He is always asking the same question.
[会发现]
现在进行时的构成为“主语+______________________________”。句②中使用了__________与现在进行时搭配,传达了作者的不满情绪。
[明规则]
(1)表示此时此刻正在发生或进行的动作或状态。
(2)表示现阶段正在进行的动作,但讲话时该动作未必正在进行。
(3)表示近期特定的安排或计划。
(4)现在进行时与always, often等频度副词连用,表示反复发生的动作或持续存在的状态,往往带有说话人的某种感彩。  
[名师点津] 下面四类动词不能用于现在进行时:
①表示心理状态、情感的动词:like, love, hate, care, remember, believe, want, mind, wish, agree, mean, need等。
②表示存在状态的动词(短语):appear, exist, lie, remain, seem, belong to等。
③表示行为结果的动词:allow, accept, permit, promise, admit, complete等。
④表示表象、感官的连系动词:feel, smell, sound, taste, look等。

五、过去进行时 
[先感知]
①They were chatting when I came in.
②What was he researching all day last Sunday
③He was cleaning his car while I was cooking.
[会发现]
过去进行时的构成为“主语+____________”。句①表示过去某一时刻正在发生的动作,句②表示过去某段时间内(all day last Sunday)一直进行的动作,句③表示clean和________两个动作同时进行。
[明规则]
(1)表示在过去某个时间点发生的事情。
(2)表示过去某一段时间内正在发生或进行的动作或状态。
(3)主从复合句中,如果主句动作和从句动作都是延续性的或同时发生,则主从句都可用过去进行时。
(4)与always, forever等副词连用,表示赞赏或厌恶等感彩。

[先感知]

[会发现]
现在完成时的构成为“主语+____________________”。句②中含有__________引导的时间状语从句,从句用过去时;句③中时间状语为____________________;句④中含有固定句式:______________________________。
[明规则]
(1)表示过去发生的动作对现在产生的结果或影响。
(2)表示过去的某一动作或状态一直持续到现在,并且有可能继续持续下去。
(3)标志词:just, ever, already, recently, for, since, during/in/over the last (past) few years (months, weeks ...), in recent years, so far, up to now等。
(4)下列句型中常用现在完成时:
①It has been+一段时间+since从句。
②This/That/It is the first/second ... time that ... +现在完成时。
③This/That/It is the best/finest/most interesting ...+that+现在完成时。  
[名师点津] 一般过去时与现在完成时的区别
一般过去时强调的是动作发生在“过去”,和现在没有关系。现在完成时表示动作从过去持续到现在,也许还将持续下去;或者动作截止在过去,但对现在造成了影响或产生了结果。

借助重读抓关键词
英语句子中的重读一般是为了强调、传递新信息、对比信息或澄清信息等。在句子中经常重读的词有:名词、形容词、数词、副词、实义动词、疑问词、指示代词、不定代词等。但有时为了强调,句子中几乎任何词都可以重读。在听力考试中,句子中的重读可以帮助考生找到关键词,并把握住主要意思,正确理解所听的内容。比如:Will you sell my car because I've gone to France?其中sell, car, gone, France是被重读的部分。无论这句话说得多快,只要这四个词能听清楚,这句话就可以被理解。
[典例] (2024年1月山东高考听力第4题)

[听力原文]
M:Could I have fried rice or noodles for dinner for a change I don't feel like steak today.

[分析] 对话中男士说的话中fried rice,noodles, change,steak都会重读,但关键的是理解对话中女士说的话:I can't cook two different meals today. You can have what you want tomorrow.其中的重读部分为can't cook two different meals today,have,want tomorrow,这几个词因为重读的原因,可以清晰地听到。根据其所传达的含义,能够容易地推断出这位女士想表达的意思是:今天晚餐仍然吃牛排,由此可知答案为C项。
