Work in pairs and act out an interview with the author about their experience of Hurricane Katrina.
Step 1: Underline the important information while reading.
Step 2: Prepare questions according to the information.
Step 3: Decide the roles of interviewer and act out the interview.
Tips of a successful interview:
Be polite, friendly and sincere.
e.g. start by saying how delighted you are to meet the interviewee with smile and a handshake
State why you interview him/her.
e.g. “I was really interested in…”
Ask the interviewee about him/herself
e.g. “How did you feel…”
