A Cross-Country Running Race
Last Sunday，our school held a five-kilometer cross-country running race. All students in Senior 3 took part in it. The purpose of this race was to inspire us students to pay more attention to physical exercise.
At 7 a.m. we started at the school gate. And then we ran all the way to the foot of South Hill. On the way，although some students fell behind，they kept running until the finishing line.
From this activity，we have realized that building up our body is of great importance，and we have also learned more about “persistence leads to success”.

Last Sunday, I participated in a volunteer activity organized by the school to beautify our city.
We started a campaign to clean up the waste around the City Park. We went into action the moment we arrived there by bus. Meanwhile, some of us handed out brochures to the passers-by, telling them about the benefits of garbage-sorting.
