Text 10
Hello, everyone. I am George. In today’s program, I’d like to share an impressive story of mine with you. Last Sunday, I went back home from shopping in a supermarket. I stood on the roadside watching the traffic carefully. When I saw it was safe, I moved forward to cross the road. Suddenly, a motorbike came from the wrong side and knocked me down and my things went all over. Thankfully, the driver was driving very slowly. My leg was only injured slightly. He apologized to me and called a taxi to drive me to the nearby hospital as soon as possible. After a medical examination, I was told that there was nothing serious. The doctor gave me some medicine for my injury. The driver insisted on paying the money for my goods, my examination and the medicine, but I refused. I thanked the driver for making the effort to send me to the hospital. I reminded him of the safety when he crossed a road. I will also regard this accident as a warning to myself and be more careful when going out. Thank you for spending time listening to my story.

下是它是如何发生的,以及如何降低你的风险”符合语境,“it”指代上文的“kyphosis (驼背)”。故选 C。

61. effectively 62. challenges 63. its 64. bored 65. a
be used to do sth.表示“被用来做某事”,是固定用法,故填 to create。

QR Code Payment: A Double-Edged Sword
QR code payment has become increasingly popular in China. From street vendors to shopping malls, scanning QR codes can be seen everywhere.
It brings great convenience as people can make purchases quickly without carrying cash. Moreover, it reduces physical contact, which is especially important for people’s health. However, this convenience comes with risks. Some people may scan fake QR codes, which causes money loss. Worse still, overusing mobile payment might lead to overspending.
As far as I am concerned, while enjoying its benefits, we should be cautious. Setting payment passwords and checking transaction (交易) records regularly can help avoid potential risks.

第二节(25 分)
One possible version:
Just then, the doorbell rang, interrupting the heavy silence in the room. Lisa opened the door to find Mrs. King, bearing a plate of homemade cookies. “I heard what happened,” she said warmly, “Your dad had to work because he’s so responsible. Let’s cheer up and make the most of the day!” Jack and Lily, though still a bit down, accepted the cookies. After a short discussion with Mrs. King, Lisa proposed, “How about going to the park together ” Hearing the idea, the kids were so cheerful that their earlier disappointment vanished. With everything prepared, they set off happily and enjoyed a fun-filled day at the park.
Later that evening, Tom returned home, exhausted but filled with a sense of duty. He was ready to apologize for missing the outing, but the sight that greeted him took his breath away. The dining room was full of warmth, and his family were gathering around a beautifully set table, waiting for him. Jack and Lily ran up, their eyes shining. “We had a fantastic time at the park with Mrs. King, Dad!” Lily exclaimed, and then softly added, “We understand you had to put in a lot of hard work today.” Tom smiled, deeply touched by her thoughtfulness. Despite the day’s challenges, he realized that family love and understanding were the true treasures, making every trial worthwhile.
