I enjoy doing planting activities because it’s relaxing and also a good way to learn about nature. My class has an orange tree and we take good care of it. Next month, we will be able to pick our own oranges! And then each of us can bring some fresh oranges back home. It’s amazing to share the oranges grown by ourselves with our family. This morning, Wang Ping was in a hurry to the railway station because his friend was waiting for him there. Unluckily, he got stuck in a traffic jam (交通阻塞). All the cars were lined up, and drivers were honking (按喇叭) at each other in anger. Wang Ping got out of his car and moved forward to see what was causing the traffic jam.
At a turn, he saw a young man trying hard to restart his car. It was clear that the car had broken down for some reason. Everyone there was just staring at the man without offering any help. Many of them were even blaming (责备) the man for the traffic jam. The number of cars stuck in traffic was growing, and the man looked very embarrassed.
Seeing this, Wang Ping quickly went to help the man. Four other drivers followed him.
Together, they pushed the car, and soon it started again with a loud noise. The young man smiled with relief. He thanked the people who helped him and said sorry to everyone before driving away.
In life, we all make mistakes. These mistakes are usually not on purpose but happen because of unexpected situations at times. When others make mistakes, we often blame them, but when we make mistakes, we want others to understand and help us. However, during difficult times, we should focus on solving the problem instead of blaming others. Also, forgiving (原谅) others is a smart choice because it can stop fights and spread kindness.

A. Careful. B. Honest. C. Warm-hearted. D. Hard-working.
27. What is the main idea of the passage
A. We should offer help when others are in trouble.

C. Unexpected events could happen to everyone in daily life.
D. Solving problems and forgiving others are better than blaming.

Have you seen circles, squares and triangles (三角形) everywhere in your daily life Have you thought about their meanings in films Much like colors, different shapes can show different features (特征) of characters in the scenes.
Circles represent (象征) things that are soft and natural. The round shape reminds us of things that appear in nature, like the sun, flowers, raindrops and so on. We can also connect circles with beautiful eyes, babies’ round faces... All these things make us feel happy and warm. This is why so many cartoon characters’ bodies—heroes, kids, good people—are round in shape, because circles represent goodness, happiness and friendliness.
Squares show things that are unnatural or man-made, or things that are boring or old-fashioned. In Up, Carl, an elderly man, has a square face and wears square glasses, while Russell, an 8-year-old boy with a round face, always wears round medals. These shapes show the characters’ personalities. Carl is stubborn (执拗的) and lonely, while Russell is lovely and full of energy.
The angriest shape is the triangle. Kids who draw a monster with sharp teeth draw a row of triangles, don’t they That’s because the shape represents fear, distrust and doubt in some way. If you look at the bad guys in cartoons, you’ll find they’re all drawn with plenty of points and triangles. And triangles are stable and don’t easily fall down. In films, this feature makes bad people difficult to deal with.
Not only in cartoons, but also in other kinds of films, different shapes are used for the same purpose. So, next time you see a film, try to find the hidden shapes and you will know what the characters are like.
28. How does the writer start the passage
A. By telling a story. B. By asking questions.
C. By listing numbers. D. By giving an example.
29. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage
A. Cartoon characters in round shapes can be friendly and happy.
B. Cartoon characters with a square face can be lovely and full of energy.
C. Cartoon characters drawn with triangles can be good and brave.
D. Cartoon characters in triangles can be easy to get along with.
30. What does the underlined word “stable” mean in Paragraph 4
A.完整的 B.稳固的 C.常见的 D.规则的
31. Which of the following is the structure of the passage (① = Paragraph 1...)
A. B. C. D.
D
There is no doubt that the world will be a very different place in 2045. So what’s going to happen then It’s pretty likely that robots and AI technology will change a lot of industries. Also, self-driving and flying cars will come into our daily life, bringing us much convenience.
However, scientists have even bigger ideas. In a video series called Forward to the Future, three researchers predicted what they imagined would be reality in 2045.
Dr. Justin Sanchez believes we’ll be at a point where we can control things simply by using our mind. “Imagine a world where you could just use your thoughts to control your environment,” Justin said. According to him, experts are working on certain technologies that can make this happen. They’ve made some progress already.
The future has more than just that. Many other exciting things could change the building and other objects around us, says Stefanie Tompkins. “We’ll be able to build things that are very strong but also lightweight (轻量型的). We don’t even know the materials around us,” she predicted.
Pam Melroy believes we’re going to find that we have a very different relationship with the machines around us. “I think we’ll begin to see a time when we’re able to control a machine just by pressing a button (按钮) or only saying some simple words,” she said. For example, right now to land a plane safely, a pilot has to go through many steps in the right order. But in 2045, in Pam’s words, a pilot may just need to say the words “prepare for landing”. Then the computer knows the steps it needs to take. Or perhaps, with AI, a pilot won’t even be necessary.
32. What does the underlined word “this” refer to in Paragraph 3
A. Making progress in AI technology. B. Driving flying cars in our daily life.
C. Controlling things by using our mind. D. Using robots in different industries.
33. Which of the following would be possible according to Stefanie
A. AI helps pilots to land planes. B. Computers operate all machines.
C. Self-driving cars travel around us. D. Houses are strong but lightweight.
34. Which is the best title for the passage
A. Challenges for AI in the Future B. Experts ’ Predictions of Life in 2045
C. Famous Scientists in New Technologies D. New Kinds of Building Materials
35. In which part of a newspaper can we read this passage
A. Health & Lifestyle. B. Education & Culture.
C. Nature & Environment. D. Science & Technology.

Hello, everyone! Today I'd love to share something about the topic "popular ball game s in our class".
Last week I dida survey about it. The result shows that 38%of the classmates like ping-pong best and26%love basketball. 19%prefer soccer while the rest like other ball games.
For me, basketball is my favorite. I p refer it because it's not only good for my health, but also helps me build a strong mind. Besides, it makes me relaxed and happy. I play it two or three times a week. By playing it, I've made many friends and understood the true meaning of team spirit.
Thanks for listening.
