写作项目——Writing a movie review
本单元的写作任务是写一篇电影评论。电影评论是对一部电影的导演、演员、剧情、特效、拍摄手法等进行介绍和分析，并表达自己的感受和看法的文章。主体部分应包括两方面的内容：对影片的介绍及个人的评论。这两方面都可以有选择性地从电影的某一方面展开，不用面面俱到。
由教材学写作
一、学文体架构
根据Activity 5中提供的电影评论及Activity 6中的写作指导，可总结出该类文体的框架结构如下：

影评是学生较为陌生的一种文体，在组织要点时可能会有无从下手的感觉。参考Activity 6中的写作指导可以总结出，影评的要点应包含四个方面：general introduction (影片基本信息)，main plot(主要情节)，the most memorable scene(精彩场景)，comments(影片评论)。其中基本信息可以介绍names of the film, the director and the main actors以及prizes won。情节介绍则需要涵盖when, where, who以及what happens。此处要注意的是，不能透露影片的结局。发表个人看法时可以从acting, characters, special effects这几个角度着手，且观点的表述要针对具体示例，不能泛泛而谈。同时，尽量在表述中运用一些描述性词汇以吸引读者的注意力。
三、学高级表达
影评的写作注重简洁高效，以简单的语言传达丰富的内涵。如第一段最后一句中的 “Starring Anne Hathaway”使用了现在分词作状语，简洁明了地介绍了影片的主演，starring在此意为“由……主演”。第二段的首句中作者用了两个同位语对前面的名词作解释说明，即 “a socially awkward American girl”作“Mia”的同位语， “the Crown Prince”作“her long absent father”的同位语。同位语的恰当使用可使描写对象更具体，且在表达效果上更简洁。此外，介绍影片背景时还常使用句式：Based on ..., the film/story is set in ... 。
四、学靓丽词汇
第一段第二句中的“is shocked by”写出了Mia得知自己是公主时的震惊与意外。最后一句中的definitely则起到加强语气的作用，意为“无疑，肯定”。第二段第三句中的get out of hand与后半句中的gets hold of正反对比，生动且鲜明地描述了在消息被媒体得知后局面失控的场景。
五、学衔接过渡
第二段中作者在介绍电影的主要情节时，运用了“However”，“On top of this”等衔接词，使文章过渡自然，内在逻辑严密，清楚流畅地交代了影片的故事梗概。此外，文章最后一句“Watch it now！”与首段尾句中的“it is definitely a movie you should not miss”前后呼应，增强了文章的感染力，同时，使文章的结构上下贯通、协调一致。

A British man has learned skills needed to perform Beijing Opera, making the audience enjoy his lively performance of the Monkey King.
Ghaffar Pourazar said he has been a big fan of Bruce Lee since he was a child and is full of interest about China.In 1993, he happened to watch Beijing Opera performed in London by professionals from Jingyu Theatre Company of Beijing. Ghaffar said he fell in love with
the beautiful voices, colorful costumes, excellent shows and so on. So after one year, he arrived in China alone and became a student of Beijing Opera at a Beijing school.

Ghaffar Pourazar said he has been a big fan of Bruce Lee since he was a child and is full of interest about China.In 1993, he happened to watch Beijing Opera performed in London by professionals from Jingyu Theatre Company of Beijing.Ghaffar said he fell in love with the beautiful voices, colorful costumes, excellent shows and so on.So after one year, he arrived in China alone and became a student of Beijing Opera at a Beijing school.
At the age of 32, he had to learn with teenage students every day, starting from the most basic training of the legs and waist.At the time, he was mostly troubled by the dialogue in Beijing Opera.To him, it was the biggest obstacle,_but he never gave up.
