A person, like a commodity, needs packaging. But going too far is absolutely undesirable.A little exaggeration (夸张), however, does no harm when it shows the person's unique qualities to their advantages. To show personal attractiveness in a casual and natural way, it is important for one to have a clear knowledge of oneself.A skilled packager knows how to add art to nature without any signs of embellishment,_so that the person so packaged is not a commodity, but a human being, lively and lovely.
A young person, especially a female, shining with beauty and full of life, has all the favour granted.Any attempt to make up would be self defeating. Youth, however, comes and goes in a flash.Packaging for the middle aged is primarily to hide the marks made by years. If you still enjoy life enough to keep self confidence and work at pioneering work, you are unique in your natural qualities, and your attractiveness and grace will remain.Elderly people are beautiful if their river of life has been through plains, mountains and jungles, running its course as it should. You have really lived your life, which now arrives at a self satisfied stage of quietness and calmness with no interest in fame or wealth. There is no need to make use of hair dyeing. The snow capped mountain itself is a beautiful scene of fairyland.Let your looks change from young to old in step with the natural ageing process so as to keep in harmony with nature, for harmony itself is beauty, while the other way round will only end in unpleasantness.To_be_in_the_elder's_company_is_like_reading_a_thick_book_of_good_edition,_which_attracts_one_so_much_that_one_is_unwilling_to_part_with_it. As long as one finds where one stands, one knows how to package oneself, just as a commodity sets up its brand by the right packaging.

For Western designers, China and its rich culture have long been an inspiration for Western creatives.
“It's no secret that China has always been a source of inspiration for designers,”says Amanda Hill, chief creative officer at A+E Networks, a global media company and home to some of the biggest fashion shows.
Earlier this year, the China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition in New York exhibited 140 pieces of China inspired fashionable clothing alongside Chinese works of art, with the aim of exploring the influence of Chinese aesthetics (美学) on Western fashion and how China has fueled the fashionable imagination for centuries. The exhibition had record attendance, showing that there is huge interest in Chinese influences.
“China is impossible to overlook,”says Hill.“Chinese models are the faces of beauty and fashion campaigns that sell dreams to women all over the world, which means Chinese women are not just consumers of fashion — they are central to its movement.”Of course, not only are today's top Western designers being influenced by China — some of the best designers of contemporary fashion are themselves Chinese.“Vera Wang, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu are taking_on Galliano, Albaz, Marc Jacobs — and beating them hands down in design and sales,” adds Hill.
For Hill, it is impossible not to talk about China as the leading player when discussing fashion.“The most famous designers are Chinese, so are the models, and so are the consumers,” she says.“China is no longer just another market; in many senses it has become the market. If you talk about fashion today, you are talking about China — its influences, its direction, its breathtaking clothes, and how young designers and models are finally acknowledging that in many ways.”
8.What can we learn about the exhibition in New York
A.It promoted the sales of artworks.
B.It attracted a large number of visitors.

People who possess high self esteem are able to commit better and produce a greater bond in relationships with others.Dr Douglas feels that most people do not value themselves, but with love and self respect anyone can be above normality and grasp success with the family, the office, or others.
We have become too reliant on intelligence, beauty, and money for our own self esteem. The loss of esteem reduces the will and ability to set and reach goals. In a series of readings, Douglas teaches how to avoid negative statements, how to change them into self motivating behaviour, and how to take charge of your mental attitude.Where other motivational and self help works stop with the theoretical plan for success, Douglas takes everyday examples and puts them into his books. From raising children who believe in themselves to using self esteem to help bridge the gap in the workplace, he gives readers concrete solutions to the problems that might ruin their interpersonal relations.
Self esteem building comes from filling your thoughts with positive affirmations (肯定) and learning to react to failures with motivation instead of self destruction. These lessons are valuable for anyone who feels that life is even slightly out of control.People who feel they have adequate esteem can learn to use it to make their success grander, faster, and more beneficial for others.Douglas approaches this process of self development as a means of more than creating good things for the individual but also for setting up keys for influencing good things for others.
For more than thirty years, Dr Douglas has addressed more than two million people on topics from time management to speaking effectively to raising drug free children. He is the author of fifteen books, including How to Make a Habit of Succeeding.
12.What can we infer from paragraph 1
A.Most people behave well enough.
B.Self respect means being above normality.
C.Self esteem matters much.
D.Committing better equals greater success.

A.To be reliant on self esteem.
B.To set and reach goals.
C.To avoid negative thoughts.
D.To offer concrete solutions.
14.What does the author advise those whose life is slightly out of control to do
A.Learn to be positive.
B.Face it in an unmotivated manner.
C.Admit self destruction.
D.Ask for help.
15.What's the most important to be self development

Many people think that when they become rich and successful, happiness will naturally follow.__16__ The world is full of very rich people who lead a miserable life and still feel there is something missing.Quite clearly, money is not the only answer to all problems.
__17__ Lottery winnings do not bring happiness.Gambling winnings do not bring happiness. To my mind, the secret to happiness lies in your successful work, in your contribution towards others' happiness and in your wealth you have earned through your own honest effort. If you obtain wealth through luck or dishonest means, you will know that it is ill earned money. If you get your money by taking advantage of others or by hurting others, you will not be happy with it.__18__
Long term happiness is based on honesty, productive work, contribution, and self esteem.__19__ It is a continuous process of honest, productive work which makes a real contribution to others and makes you feel you are a useful, worthy person.
As Dr Wayne wrote, “There is no way to happiness.Happiness is the way.” There is no use saying “Someday when I achieve these goals, when I get a car, build a house and own my own business, then I will be really happy.” Life just does not work that way.If you wait for certain things to happen and depend on external circumstances of life to make you happy, you will always feel unfulfilled.__20__
A.Happiness is not an end; it is a process.
B.There will always be something missing.
C.You will think you are an immoral person.
D.Let me tell you that nothing is further from the truth.
E.Wealth obtained through dishonest means does not bring happiness.
F.People may have different ideas as for the ways of achieving happiness.
G.It is up to us to find the ways to achieve that happiness we seek and long for.

Already Perfect
Each one of us struggles with self worth to some degree.I spent much of my time attempting to achieve perfection in every aspect of my life. What I didn't realize was that in my efforts to be perfect, I almost lost my life.
During my childhood, I wanted everyone's praise and acceptance. After I graduated from high school, my struggles with self worth increased.I began to put pressure on myself to succeed in the adult world.Meanwhile, I wasn't feeling very confident and successful.I started to believe that my difficulties and “failures” in life were caused by my weight.I had always been a thin to average sized person.Suddenly, I was convinced that I was overweight. In my mind, I was FAT!
Slowly, I began to control my food by trying to diet, but nothing seemed to work.I continued to reduce what I ate each day and told myself that I would succeed, and in turn, I felt good about myself.
People around me began to notice my weight loss.At first, they weren't alarmed; maybe some were even envious. But then the comments showed some concern.“You're losing too much weight.” “Elisa, you're so thin.” “You look sick.” “You'll die if you keep this up.” All their words only made me believe that I was on the right path, getting closer to “perfection”.
My poor nutrition (营养) began to cause me to lose sleep.I found it hard to concentrate on my work or to focus on anything for a long time.I was pushing myself harder and harder at the gym, struggling to burn fat.My parents tried to stop me, but I disagreed that I had a problem.None of my clothes fit, and it was hard to buy any, since I had become too thin!
注意:1.续写词数应为 150左右;
2.请按如下格式作答。
Then one night, I couldn't sleep again, and my heart beat its way out of my chest.
When I lay on the hospital bed, I began to rethink what I did to my body.

第二节 参考范文:
Then one night, I couldn't sleep again, and my heart beat its way out of my chest.I tried to relax, but I couldn't.The beating became so rapid and so strong that I could no longer breathe.Really scared and ill, I felt I was going to die.Knowing that help was needed, I stood up, went towards the door, and immediately fell down, letting out a cry of pain.Awakened by the unusual sound, my parents came in to see what had happened.Shocked and worried, they rushed me to the hospital. It took doctors and nurses several hours to bring me back to life.
When I lay on the hospital bed, I began to rethink what I did to my body. I decided to stop my foolish way of losing weight and pursuing perfection.Instead, I must be confident of myself and stay committed to being healthy.I now use my intelligence, talents and acts of kindness to express myself. This is true beauty, and it has nothing to do with the size of my body. With my experience of trying to be “perfect” on the outside, I had forgotten who I was on the inside. What I know now is that we are — each and every one of us — already perfect.
